I know a gay man couple who have been together for 30 years. Not to talk about other people behind their backs, but imagine if you will, a couple together for 30 years, how many times they had sex, yet they do not have AIDS or HIV. How many straight people in the world have AIDS or HIV versus gay people? Do they ever check the statistics? Seriously, the arguments against homosexuality are getting more and more ridiculous...... The way African communities were forming allowed for HIV/AIDS to pervasively permeate. The way urban gay communities were forming, and (unfortunately) also due to what Dan Savage calls "the sewer sex culture" of gay urban men, allowed HIV/AIDS to wreak havoc. But either community is NOT a cause or a reason behind HIV/AIDS. The only thing that is proven is what we have known all along about disease; that ignorance and close quarters will give it a fertile breeding ground.
