"It upsets me how Exodus keeps taking these phony "ex gays" and saying, "You'll only be happy if you're straight" and then proceeding to put people through years of therapy and sucking thousands of dollars of their hard earned money only for nearly all of them to fail."

Only for them to have a "moral fall" and be right back in the "gay lifestyle" themselves.

People should start questioning these single "ex-gays" more, because even if I were straight, I'd find it hard to believe an "ex-gay" is single, not dating women, and staying away from men. Something's going on.

As for Alan Chambers, who is he to call "unhappy", when his wife is obviously unhappy that she's wasting her life with a showboating queen.

Chambers' and Exodus' theology is a joke too. The Bible isnt too clear on lots of things, especially homosexuality, of which the writers had no concept that it's an 'orientation'. And as for 'Christian principles', my dogs act more like Christians than this bunch of willfully ignorant, exclusionary, toxically shame based bigots!

"Those of us who have experienced the emptiness of gay life know that promoting it will inevitably lead to more heartache for many."

It actually breaks my heart that Exodus thinks this way. Maybe some people, who are straight but have some homosexual feelings (for some reason or another) would benefit from Exodus because "reparative therapy" suppresses homosexual desires. It's all it does.

But interestingly, no matter how many girls I dated. No matter how many girls I tried to get intimate with, I realized I couldn't be happy unless I was with another man.

How true, Natalie - one would think Chambers would be thrilled that all the happy GLBT people were occupied to free himself up. Great point.

Chambers more-or-less explicitly endorses antigay discrimination and the withholding of freedom from gay people. He believes that allowing people freedom and equal opportunity "promotes" sexual orientation which is either inborn or fixed at an early age:

"Those of us who have experienced the emptiness of gay life know that promoting it will inevitably lead to more heartache for many."

He also egotistically projects the emptiness of his own life onto happy, well-adjusted same-sex-attracted persons.

As you said, Ms. Davis, that's... sad.
