While ex-gay activist Mike Ensley insults gay Christian singer Ray Boltz, former ex-gay Peterson Toscano points to a much more graceful and life-affirming attitude by Boltz’s ex-wife, Carol Boltz.
Carol struggled as many spouses do when their loved one realizes the necessity of sexual honesty and integrity. Their private struggle was made tougher by the need for Ray to eventually go public and be honest with his Christian fans.

There are some people out there who would rush to condem, crucify and kill even, brother Ray and others for their homosexuality, but would see nothing wrong with a “man” getting under the skirts of numerous women; because that is what society sanctions and approves of; but if you yourself are not “squeaky clean”… “judge not, lest ye be judged.”
I am a christian believer and I am very sorry to hear that Ray Boltz is practising homo-sexual and he managed to keep it a secret for so many years.I have no authority to condemn anybody or to pass judgement on anyone as I am also a sinner, saved by the grace of God.I have just one question in my mind.Is Ray Boltz sure that God would approve his actions and commend him by saying, Well done you good and faithful servant? Oommen mathew. How do you know that Ray Boltz is a “practicing homosexual”? Maybe he is celibate. Are straight men who are celibate “practicing heterosexuals”? Why do you care if Ray Boltz is being honest about who he is and has always been? And how do you know he is under “satanic bondage”? Maybe he discovered that lying about who you are and pretending to be someone you are not is the real satanic bondage. And this myth about Jesus healing people you are alluding to: “If he is 100% earnest, blah, blah, blah…”. You cannot be serious! I hope this guy finds his way to one of the growing number of gay welcoming congregations and denominations. It is good to see him move past the self deception and internal hatred and TERRIBLE fundamentalist trash theology of the second rate churches like one numa and oommen appearantly belong to. As is spoken above there are many who point the finger and declare that Ray is vial and should be banned from Church/God/help/… but the same ones say nothing about “Lucy Loose lips” or “Larry long tongue”. Sin is sin no matter who is committing it whether “Jimmy Swaggart” or “Jimmy Pew-warmer”
The problem that many of us Christians have with Ray is “IF” he still wants to say that he is a Christian and lead Christians with his music in this lifestyle.
This lifestyle is against the WORD of God. God is not against the person in the lifestyle. If they refuse to find his delivering Grace, and then claim that the sin is “okay” according to the Standard of “what gives you entrance to live eternally in heaven”. Can’t be!

God is the same strength to Ray and every one else “IF” they turn to him and continually seek HIM! If they turn and walk away then God can do nothing about it but continually reach out and place Christians in your path to help you change.
There is no condemnation in me for Ray or anyone else who is fighting the battle against homosexuality “FOR WHATEVER REASON”. It is no different that some one who can’t tell the truth when the truth itself would sound better.

What a loss! Let’s pray for this god-given talent to be restored. One thing we need to recall: Admission of sin does not legitimize the practice of sin. The ultimate goal of admission should be to get out of it. God still loves you, Ray, but He certainly does not endorse your lifestyle.
Joe, this is a news article from three years ago and Ray, Carol and everyone else involved are doing far better than they were before Ray learned how to live with integrity, rather than under the fundamentalist Christian tenet of “lying is okay, as long as it’s for Jeezus.”

I suggest you read john 3:16 very carefully and see if there are any exceptions or asterisks? Then I would stop assuming that god has confided in you concerning his relationship with others.
Regardless of Boltz’s sexual orientation, the fact remains that his music is subpar and dreadfully sentimental. I can’t judge the man for his sins, but after many years in Christian broadcasting I can say playing any Ray Boltz song was like being musically water boarded for 3 minutes.
Nate: most Christian music is like that. Just look at the transformation of Joy Williams from when she was a CCM star to now, as half of The Civil Wars.
Part of the reason CCM is so godawfully bad, and will always be, is that there is an expectation that writers write about one thing, and one thing only. There are only so many ways to say “I love you Jesus and I feel you on top of me tonight.”
I’d give Ray a chance to shuck off that crap before judging him as an artist.

What strikes me about this whole situation is how little Biblical discernment many “professing” Christian demonstrate when it comes to this matter. The gay lifestyle is both disgusting and strongly condemned by God. Does it realy matter that Ray is a nice guy, or that he’s talented? Good grief, the man has blatantly, boldly and wilfully denied the Lord and proven himself to be a religious apostate. Ray needs to do some serious repenting. Oh, and what about that counterfeit church he attends? Whatever might be called “worship” in such place as this is but a stench in the face of God. The Bible says, “If the light that be in you be darkness, how great is that darkness.” I’m not condoning hatred, but gay is gross, and that assessment comes from God Himself.
If anyone needs to repent here Pete it’s you. God created his gay children alongside all the others. Repent for lying about God and his children. Repent for your attacks on a man who bravely decided to be truthful in his life. Repent for the damage your lies and hatred have caused to so many innocents.

Look into attending a real seminary from one of the historic denominations that have overcome their bigotry and love God with not only their hearts, but also their minds.
