Nate: most Christian music is like that. Just look at the transformation of Joy Williams from when she was a CCM star to now, as half of The Civil Wars.

Part of the reason CCM is so godawfully bad, and will always be, is that there is an expectation that writers write about one thing, and one thing only. There are only so many ways to say “I love you Jesus and I feel you on top of me tonight.”

I’d give Ray a chance to shuck off that crap before judging him as an artist.

Regardless of Boltz’s sexual orientation, the fact remains that his music is subpar and dreadfully sentimental. I can’t judge the man for his sins, but after many years in Christian broadcasting I can say playing any Ray Boltz song was like being musically water boarded for 3 minutes.

I’ve read the Bible and condemnation for homosexuality is no stronger than condemnation of shellfish. Explain why you aren’t picketing seafood restaurants. Otherwise, shut up.

Lewis, if King James were alive today, he would be living what you would call a homosexual lifestyle. If you can’t listen to Ray’s music because he’s gay, then why are you reading a Bible which a homo/bisexual sponsored the translation of? (Yes, King James was married to a woman, but his obvious passions were with men.)

all these homos that claim they are that way and can’t change, why can’t they just be celibate. wouldn’t that be better than going to hell. there is no way a practicing homo can go to heaven. if he can, everyone is going to heaven. think about it, intentional sin is forgiven but god will not accept it. we know everyone sins but a crack head would say, i’me a christian but i can’t quit this dope. would he go to heaven doing drugs all day long.
