Bob, NDPTF is led by Focus' founders and a statement of Christian faith is required to join the leadership.

Your statement against other religions' interest in prayer for our communities and leaders is sheer, unmitigated bigotry. It exemplifies yet another problem with NDPTF: It idolizes one "Nation" at the expense of others. It wishes good riddance to people of faith (including Christians) who are outside U.S. borders. That is not what the NDP's originators intended.

National Day of Prayer Task Force is not a part of Focus on the Family. It is a separate non-profit organization. They take No political opinion - their non-profit status even prevents that.

All Americans can participate in the National Day of Prayer regardless of their faith. Very few religions other than Christians however have taken it upon themselves to pray for our nation's leaders and their families. Not just Government leaders but Military, Media. Business, Education, Chruch & Family.
