These people have no idea that what they are doing is evil. Truly evil. The harm they are doing to the poor child will never be undone. It is quite beyond forgiveness. If you see someone, a child, say, as a broken or damaged entity, you will create them as such. On the other hand, if you see them as whole and perfect— that is what they will become. God is obviously not present at such carryings on as this gathering of ignorant people.

Let us be quite clear about this: Ignorance is evil.

This is how, sometimes religious fanatics are decieved by their superstitions. It is what happened to the decadent Roman Church during the Inquisition. The Inquisitors thought they were saving souls. Unfortunately, they became the pure incarnation of evil.

Ultimately, that is why Martin Luther had to break with Rome. After that, there have been nothing but more and more splinter groups.
