Michel Glatze, a former gay activist who became a so-called “ex-gay” after what appears to be a possible nervous breakdown, went on a racist rant against President Barack Obama this week, according to Ex-Gay Watch.
According to Ex-Gay Watch’s David Roberts, Glatze has started posting rambling and disjointed thoughts to his new blog. Some examples, including the attacks on the President:
“Have I mentioned lately how utterly ‘disgusting’ Obama is? And, yes, it’ because he’ black. God, help us all.”
“It’s a shame Obama is black. He could end up setting back race relations decades.”
“If Obama had a baby with Down’s Syndrome, he’d probably be frustrated that the child’ intelligence would never be enough to discern that his father is the Messiah. Knowing this, Obama would probably have his Down’ Syndrome baby killed, before it was ever born”
I think such posts are further evidence of what appears to be Glatze’s mental deterioration and decline. I hope he has sought professional help and guidance, as he slips further into incoherent and incendiary diatribes. He used to do good work, but now it is clear that he offers nothing but angry rambling and disjointed thoughts.
Sadly, the virulently anti-gay website World Net Daily is exploiting Glatze’s state of mind for crass political gain. And, Glatze, who just solicited me for an interview, (I turned him down) is a stage horse who is actively seeking publicity. While he claims to have found God, it is clear that his Savior is newsprint featuring his name.
I truly wish him well and hope he sees through this charade and rejoins the reality-based community in the future.

Oh, if it isn’t my favorite demon, Wayne Besen, who called me two years ago swearing at me and telling me what a worthless piece of human flesh I was. Such a lovely man.
If only Mr. Besen could understand sanity, he might be able to back up his claims that other people – particularly, those who terrify him – lack it.
Wayne, let’s have a public debate, in your “reality-based community.” Or, would you rather just fling out constant, baseless, accusations. You’re not impressing anybody. Everybody I know agrees you’re less than 1-degree away from Satan on the evil scale. Care to engage? Or, too scared.
Michael, the definition of morality is “do whatever you want, but harm no one”. Wayne and gays are harming no one. Their relationships brimg them happiness, make them more productive citizens and thus are a benefit to society – gays are by definition behaving morally. You on the other hand are trying to destroy these benefifical relationships, trying to foment hatred against the innocent. You are harming people, your actions are by definition immoral. You are the evil one Michael.
“Everybody I know agrees you’re less than 1-degree away from Satan on the evil scale.”
Judging by your new crowd, I wear that with a badge of honor.
Mr. Glatze, it would be unfair to engage you. It is wrong to exploit people who are not operating with a full deck. I strongly urge you seek immediate therapy. There are doctors – even teams of shrinks – that might,if you act quickly, salvage your mental health before it is too late.
No one is scared of you. But, it is true that your vision of the world is quite scary. After reading your gibberish rants, you are just too off-the-wall to debate. I would not know where to begin or engage someone lacking basic cognition and reasoning skills.
I urge you to seek publicity in other forums. I refuse to give you the ink you so desperately worship and crave.
Who the hell is Michael Glatze??? Never heard of the heathen before…seriously! And I can’t say I’d miss anything if I didn’t meet him. So sorry.

Michael, homophobia is a sin like lying, stealing and murder. God hates sin. The movie “Tears For Bobby” shows us that even the most virulent unrepentant homophobe can be healed if he/she is really serious about deliverance. May the Holy Spirit move you to leave the sinful, anti-gay lifestyle and become whole again. As the beautiful, wonderful, natural, gay child of God you were created to be. Blessings.
Michael is absolutely right. It’ not easy to walk away from the anti-gay lifestyle, but it can certainly be done. No matter how long homophobic sin has held you in its thrall, it’ possible with sufficient determination to break free from its bondage. I know people who’ve done it.
Wow this Glatze charactor has crazy eyes! Hopefully he gets helps soon…
Vegasguy:
Funny, you say that. If you look at old pictures of Glatze, he looks normal. His current state of mind is reflected in his crazy eyes. They used to have life, now they look deadened and glazed over. Clearly, something traumatic has happened and it is seen in his troubled visage. He no longer looks well.
Right, Wayne… and you look just great yourself.
I think Glatze is kinda cute – check out the picture of him at the NARTH website (they have a new interview with Glatze there) total “Where’s Waldo!”
