Josh, you are welcome to disagree with homosexuality, if it isn't for you. But you have no business interfering in other people's private affairs full stop. You totally fill the stereotype - claiming to inimately know God's plan is - even down to private sleeping arrangements - , not only for yourself, but for other people, too, based on no evidence whatsoever. And then making it the law of the land. It's high time people like you realized that some of us want nothing to do with your ideas of morality, and claim our constitutional right to have freedom from it.

The stereotype is nothing new. As John Adams said:
"Oh! Lord! Do you think that a Protestant Popedom is annihilated in America? Do you recollect, or have you ever attended to the ecclesiastical Strifes in Maryland Pensilvania [sic], New York, and every part of New England? What a mercy it is that these People cannot whip and crop, and pillory and roast, as yet in the U.S.! If they could they would. . . . There is a germ of religion in human nature so strong that whenever an order of men can persuade the people by flattery or terror that they have salvation at their disposal, there can be no end to fraud, violence, or usurpation."

One thing you might consider, is that about 1.2 billion muslims are also praying for you, because they are equally convinced that any non-muslims, including you, are also condemned to hell. It would be foolish of you to offer any opinion whatsoever on other people's "lifestyle choices" (whatever those are) till you have sufficient evidence to show they are wrong and you are right, and that you do indeed have the super human ability to know the mind of 'God'.

The good news is, Change Is Possible. You too can walk away from superstitious nonsense, any time you like.

No, Josh, you don't actually love and care about them if you're not willing to accept them as they are, without feeling the need to pray for them.

Ugh.

What a concern troll.

After reading much of this site i see your frustration with radical people that take God's word out of context or misuse the title of "christian". I apologize for the hurt that these people have caused, many of them do not represent the love that God has for everyone even though we make sinful choices. Yet, stereotyping people who oppose gay rights in the way you have does not help you communicate your interests. It just creates more anger from both sides. While I disagree with homosexuality I have homosexual friends that I love and care about but they know that I disagree with their lifestyle and that I pray for them. I hope you meet true christians that show God's love the way it truly is.

America has always been about style over substance, illusion over reality. We believe you can counter a week of Big Macs with one aerobics class. We believe that all men are created equal, just -- in the very best Orwellian tradition -- some men are more equal than others. We will decry gay marriage because it offends our "values", but we will accept divorce because it's "all about the children" (somehow... I still cant get my head around *that* one).

And interestingly enough, when we started having to deal directly with terrorism, our self-made blinders got slapped on even more tightly, even as we looked around for scapegoats to accept the blame. It didnt surprise me when the money-making televangelists said 0911 was caused by God's judgment against gays, because it was a statement that *worked* and has continued to do so every since. All one has to do is mentions gays and lesbians, and the donation bucks roll in.
