OMG, you would think that in the 21st Century we would be well on our way to scuttling backwards thoughts like this. And yes, it is certainly absurd.
However the comment is worth paying attention to from the point of view that GLBTQ people need to keep in mind that this is where the homophobes want to take us-back to the days before Stonewall and all the legal craziness of those dark times.
