Didn’t realize Alan had been in it for that long.

You should look at it with his Twitter wallpaper for the full effect, though.

What else can a snake oil peddler do, but keep insisting that the snake oil really works? He’s not just going to turn his back on all the money he makes off of creating a climate of intolerance against law-abiding, taxpaying, gay Americans. God will judge him one day.
I can quite believe it’s denial, because of his justification for Proposition 8: he’s on record as saying that he wouldn’t be running Exodus, or in his current marriage, if gay marriage were legal. In other words, the marriage he is currently celebrating depends on attacking the dignity and integrity of GLBT people. More evidence that the ex-gay industry is not simply about supporting those who cannot reconcile their fundamentalist faith with their true nature. But about poisoning the law, poisoning the constitution that guaranteed that no one person’s faith should impose itself on anyone else.
By the time Alan Chambers comes to celebrate his 25th anniversary, the best present the LGBT community can give him is a reminder of the failure of his mission and organization, just fuelled by ignorance, bigotry and fear. Gay marriage will become accepted – it’s just a question of when. These silly people’s votes, won on the slightest of majorities, might put it off for five or 10 years, but freedom and reason always win in the end. And when it does, sald little Mr Chambers will be a forgotten, insignificant footnote in history. Happy Anniversary!
How fitting that Exodus should name itself after an event for which there is zero historical evidence.
Chambers is a creep BEYOND creepy… WOW!
Oh, I think you’re right Michael, there’s no way Chambers is going to give up on his livelihood or admit that he’s devoted his life to a sham by admitting the snake oil doesn’t work.
Interesting. Alan Chambers says his group is not about curing gay people or even changing them. Yet, his Twitter page says in big letters “Leaving Homosexuality”. Is it just me, or is “leaving” homosexuality the same thing as “changing”?
I don’t think in all my time in the movement I have met someone more insincere and duplicitous as Alan Chambers. His word means absolutely nothing. A handshake is essentially meaningless. I don’t trust a word he says.
If you read the whole page, there’s a very non-gay tweet to the effect of “Gurl, you all know that shoes make or break an outfit, gurlfren!”
I wonder if he and Leslie go shoe-shopping together.
I won’t even do that with a girl.
That man has more issues than a newsstand!
Yeah, Chambers is a major creepzoid. What he’s really all about is finding ways to make GLBT people feel as miserable as he is. Misery loves company.
I’m really glad I never met this jerk. I would be tempted to punch his lights out. b*****d.
