The more I read about American politics the more I despair at how intellectually dishonest it is. The dearth of lack of integrity in Americans is made crystal clear by the representatives they choose to send to their State Houses and to Congress. I belive this is due to a failure of and education system that has failed at least 2 generations to create Americans who can think logically and critcally, apply scientific evidence to their everyday lives, and has failed in creating people who can act civilly with regard for their fellow man. Our society has become a sham of our Constitution which was designed to teach Americans how to govern one another with intelligence and compassion. Our intellectualy degraded society has no manners nor compassion for anyone. It's become a greedy, selfish, dangerous place to live.

Some of the best commentary I've ever read. Gloomy, yes. But right on the money.

How can you expect kids to learn to read good and learn to do other stuff good too if they CAN'T EVEN FIT INSIDE THE BUILDING?!

It needs to be ... AT LEAST THREE TIMES that big!

Fact: The central figure pulling the strings is Dick Armey. Excuse me, can you get more "elite" and "old line" than the former House Majority Leader?

I think I got it this time....it is getting too late. I need to stop writing. :)

Fact: The central figure pulling the strings is Dick Armey. Excuse me, you can't get more "elite" and "old line" than the former House Majority Leader?

Just because he wears boots, does not mean he is one of you. Don't you get it? You are pawns and suckers for CEOs.

Barham says: It is what the elite few who want to rule the many, as the current Democrat Party and many old-line Republicans, would oppose.

That you can't recognize this and repeat the propaganda you are fed by slick political operatives posing as "the people" is quite sad.

Barham, you are being co-opted and used. Wake up.

Uh huh, right.

You'd think that if they were such an intelligent, reasoned group, they wouldn't have picked a name that not only fundamentally misunderstands the historical event they claim as their inspiration, but also means "dragging your balls across somebody's mouth."

And yes, THEY named themselves that, long before anybody on MSNBC started giggling about it.

Teabaggers are peasants in their purest form. Easily led, mostly uneducated (at least in the ways of the world and civics) people co-opted by the very entities that created their crappy life situations, whose rage is then redirected away from its source and onto completely unrelated entities and people.

The Tea Party Movement is a part of the American tradition. It is what the elite few who want to rule the many, as the current Democrat Party and many old-line Republicans, would oppose. It comes from a unique tradition of local home rule, where government was no further from the governed than one day' horseback ride, and individual interests were more important than are community interests. That led to the more involved citizen, the town hall meetings and even the vigilante movement. From the early days, the Tea Party Movement is but an extension of American traditions and perfectly correct. Surely, the Old World, such as England and France, would never permit such a thing, as their traditions were inclined to be bloody conflicts, not peaceful demonstrations. The differences are cited in the Changing Face of Democrats, Our Libertarian Roots Lost, on Amazon and claysamerica.com.
