I read the first posting that referenced Wayne, and looked at the comment section, wherein he admonishes a comment correcting his data. Ssempa then offers a lengthy quote from “Family and Civilization,” a book by Harvard Professor Carl Zimmerman in 1947, which has been re-edited.The “editors” reproduce the first few chapters that present a “methodology” and discard and ignore the core essentials of Zimmerman’s study. The original text has been slashed from over 800 pages to fewer than 200. In its place are essays and commentaries meant to support a conservative agenda, the same that the publishers state as their own objective. This is a deliberate mis-reading of Zimmerman’s work.
I cannot bring myself to post on his absolutely evil website, but if another would be brave enough to do so, please by all means do so, and feel free to draw upon this information.
By the way, this tripe is offered a sterling product description on Amazon.com–truly frightening, yes…surprising? Not so much so any longer.

I’ve spent so much time reaching out to voters here in California, canvassing neighborhoods, and reaching out. I’ve encounter some good folks, but I’ve come across some pretty rotten people too. Doing what I do, I constantly have to be vigilant about maintain manners and civility, but my anger has to go somewhere, and sometimes I feel it being aimed inward, and I feel a sense of despair some days–today was just such a day. But my God, how I relished your reply here. I found myself returning to it this evening, feeling released a bit. Thank you so much for being so bold, for being truthful and say all the things that some of us can’t. You freed me a bit tonight, and I will look forward to fighting another day tomorrow.

BTW, Gary. I also lost my brother due to homophobia. he hated that he was gay, and he spent his whole life denying it and running away from it. He denied me the brother I wanted because he was afraid that if he got too close to me, he might “give in”. In the end, he died alone in a mexican desert, either of murder or suicide or both.
