There are many groups which meet the SPLC’s definition of a hate group.

Peter LaBarbera is a verifiable liar, using completely discredited and disproven research at every turn, in order to bolster his dying case.

Part of the definition of a hate group is that the purveyors of the hatred verifiably lie and unfairly malign groups with false information.

That’s Americans for Truth.

let’s face it, there are more than a few people
that comment on this site, maybe even besen, hurst
and airhart that would love to see every group that
opposes homosexuality listed on SPLC’s list. We
all know the process: get the group listed
as a hate group, then shut them down through
legislation. Gee, then the only groups left will
be the ones that agree with TWO and thier ilk.

Box Turtle Bulletin points out that the SPLC has not classified AFTAH as a hate group. It has only classified AFTAH’s web site as a hate site; the group remains off the hate-group list.
