Yes, it is a bad joke. If the homophobia and sexism of Rome hadn’t driven me out of the Church, this certainly would have. To listen to the Pope spout crap like gay marriage is a danger to the planet makes me doubly sick to know that he was hugely instumental in covering up child sex abuse. He needs to be deposed and put in prison as an accessory to child sex abuse and endangerment–I’m sure there are any number of countries that could tie him to child sex abuse scandals and cover-ups in their jurisdictioons.
