Oh, this is a gem.
Hilarious blogger Rich Juzwiak found this Christian propaganda movie called Pamela’s Prayer on a trip to the Holy Land Experience and came home and distilled it to its essential parts in six handy minutes. Here we follow Pamela as she struggles to refrain from kissing boys until her wedding day, at which point she will kiss the attractive gay man who also didn’t kiss anybody until his very young Christian wedding day. This is all more than we can say for her slut friend who has “kissed lots of boys.” Pamela’s creepy pedo-looking dad is just the icing on the cake.

roflol: for starters the Dad is right out of “Dark Shadows;” all he needs is a long black cape and some fangs and BAM…Barnabas Collins.
As to the groom at the end, as Emory wisely observed in THE BOYS IN THE BAND, “Oh MARY don’t ASK” ><
Where is the Mom? So Warped…
This makes me laugh. Fundamentalists clearly don’t have a clue about life.
LOL!!! Pure camp! That reminded me of the ‘venereal disease’ movies they used to show boys in health class in the 50s and 60s to try to terrorize us from having sex with girls (not that I had any interest anyway – I sat there and yawned through the whole thing). And Scott, you’re right about the father and Barnabas Collins, I could almost hear the Dark Shadows slide whistle in the background when he was telling ‘Carrie’ about nasty, dirty, boy kisses.
She wants a man who never kissed a girl. He wants a girl that has never kissed a boy.
Dad wants her to find a boy who never kissed a girl– i think he’s got a winner here– but he kisses her in the end, defeating the purpose.
Tres odd.
Wow… Dad was definitely creepy.
It’s too bad the “attractive gay man” hasn’t aged all that well (actor Ted Kuenz). But in this movie… I’d kiss him!
Beyond the hilarity of the video, the notion of maintaining purity until marriage is at least part of the reason for the high rate of divorces and dysfunctional marriages among Super Christians. Whether consciously or unconsciously, many couples are surely getting married so they can have guilt-free sex.
With the availability of contraceptives, I would actually encourage people to have sex with various partners prior to marriage. I think that helps contribute to ultimately producing stronger marriages. There does seem to be a correlation between states with high levels of religiosity and states with high rates of divorce.
Also, it’s part of why they rush into semi-arranged marriages, skipping over all the healthy dating that teaches you about yourself and what you want out of a mate. So they get married at 20 and then we’re supposed to be surprised when they divorce at 28.
had to steal your idea of posting unintentionally hilarious religious propaganda. Love it!
Oh, Wow. I know why they did not show the kiss. Neither one knew what the heck they were doing and it was painfully awkward and unbearably sloppy.
Either that, or KISSING IS PORNOGRAPHY EWW GROSS!
OMG………..I haven’t laughed THAT hard in a VERY long time!!! Thank you SO MUCH for making my day!!! ROFLMAO!!!
But, what happens, after the wedding vows are exchanged, you find out, you now chained for life to a bad kisser?
Jessica’s a w***e!
You know what happens to girls like Jessica? Their vaginas freeze that way? Do they want their vaginas to freeze that way, so they look like Rachel Dratch? Yes well, that’s what happens when vaginas don’t obey Jesus.
Oh my other favorite part is that they keep talking about “The Lord” teaching them lessons and talking to “The Lord” like it’s really an imaginary friend that everybody agrees to believe in!
Silliness!
/atheist
The dad said that he didn’t want them kissing. He didn’t say that there was anything wrong with giving the guy a blowjob.
And one year from now they’ll be divorced because they discover they’re completely incompatible.
Really, this purity BS has gone too far. Do RW Christians buy cars without test driving them? Do they buy electronics without at least looking at them and playing with models in the stores?
Why should human beings make life-long commitments to one another when they haven’t engaged in the most minor interactions with one another? I’m not advocating people bed down with every person they meet to “sample” potential marriage partners, of course. They should do what feels right for them (with proper precautions). But to presume one should never even hug, kiss or otherwise touch a person before the most significant relationship they’ll engage in? Sheer lunacy!
Chris, he also didn’t specify that anal sex was out of bounds.
Very commical. Something tells me Jessica ran the bases backwards. Kissing is a virtue when you’re on the way from second to first.
Evan Hurst
I think that anal sex is Dad’s area of expertise. He’ll explore that with the boyfriend just to make sure that he …..measures up.
Those of you who do NOT believe in a god or host acknowledgement of a spiritual realm can stop reading right here. For those of you who do, I have become aware of a philosophy which has been growing in “secret” across America. It would seem the source or sponsor of this philosophy is Focus On The Family. According to their Judas mentality, it is acceptable to gather and pray FOR MISERY all the way up to the point of death towards a family member, just so long as they “repent” before they die. I have been under such an attack from my evangelical brother and his sons for at least a year now. My partner died October 8th 2009 from HIV. I am clean. Not only that but, the WAY he died was as if everything the doctors did only made him worse. Sick in August and dead by October. I believe in angels, demons, the whole nine yards. To this day, I know in my heart that what happened to him was unnatural. Also, my life has been nothing short of torture except for my job–as if I’m being allowed financial support but only for continued suffering in a mortal hell. For one thing, I’m sexy, very intelligent, got a great personality, talented and yet, I’m single. I shouldn’t be in a very profound way. Being single is torture of me. Others won’t understand that thinking or see the matter the same. The point being, torture is adaptive. They’ll get us where it will hurt us the most. Joint prayer has power!
What I’m looking for are spiritual people to join with and set up the equivalent of a wiccan Reflect spell…not exactly the same but the name says it all. I don’t believe in a God of wrath and hatred. These people are operating under demonic devices. I encourage anyone interested in turning the tables to contact me. If you feel you are being spiritually attacked, only together can we do something about it! They separate us, then they conquer us.
Bob said “To this day, I know in my heart that what happened to him was unnatural.”.
No you don’t. You want to believe that but there is no evidence that would lead a rational person to believe in magic or demons. Every thing that occurs has a natural explanation.
I’m sorry. I couldn’t hear your tolerance over your intolerance. Isn’t that the way it goes? “Show me tolerance,” just so long as I can remain intolerant and unaccepting of your beliefs and values. That type of ignorance is the worst kind because it’s willful.
Merr?©ll, I think you could benefit from psychiatric help. Seriously. You are obviously suffering, and that may be due to your highly delusional thoughts. I’m not trying to be unkind toward you.
Bob, you’re expressing your beliefs and I’m expressing mine. You’re just as tolerant or intolerant of my beliefs as I am of yours.
Ooops, I meant to address that to Merrell, not Bob.
