Today seems to be the day for the government telling “marriage protecting” groups to shove it:
The ethics commission today rejected a request from the National Organization for Marriage to end an investigation of the group’s finances.
The group, which was the biggest contributor to the successful Yes on 1 campaign to repeal the state’s same-sex marriage law, argued in a letter to the commission that it did not have the legal power to conduct an investigation.
But on a 4-0 vote this morning, the commission rejected that argument.
“It seems to me if this was such a compelling issue for them they would have brought it earlier,” said Commission Chairman Walter McKee. “I have no doubt this will be appealed to Superior Court.”
They’re going for broke here, obviously. As Joe Sudbay said, Brian Brown and Maggie Gallagher obviously have something major to hide.

The important instruments we need to know about is HOW did they win? What tools of fools did they use to persuade the masses to believe taking away rights was a “good” thing? I imagine the main tool of choice is fear over children–that we’re going to do something to harm the kids. So the fight in return would have to be that we are a benefit to the children. If so, how so? I believe the very nature of a gay person is of benefit to children in that we are far more ept to be gentle and less violent. We have a nature of natural curiosity which breeds intelligence. We see from a unique and introspective viewpoint which allows us to grow stronger than society, the church and the retainer of traditional families. We must overcome to survive. I’m asking because I don’t know, but, do our ads, our advocates, our talking points ever present reasons why we’re on our own side? The reason I’m asking is, we have a lame “Progressive” radio station which serves only to mention Rush Limbaugh and Hannity in a bad light. “They suck! They suck!” is the battle cry. It’s kind of like Obama winning on the premise that the Republican Congress and Bush really sucked. True enough but, now, it’s exam time for our time. CBSnews, which seems to have a bi-polar relationship with the community mentioned Sarah Palin more than they mention any Democratic pundit. We need a strategy to win and I believe the strategy MUST be why we’re a benefit to society. I friggin’ LOVE me. More straight men should try to be like me. Mmmm! There I go again. Done kiss myself! YOOOOWWW!
