The “ex-gay” industry is on the ropes and holding on for dear life. Following the George Rekers “rent boy” scandal, last year’s damning American Psychological Association report, and last week’s JONAH nude therapy debacle, we are on the cusp of permanently discrediting the poisonous “ex-gay” industry. The ex-gay business harms many people each year, destroys lives and shatters families. It needs to be shown for the ruinous and unrighteous lie that it truly is.
The only thing standing in the way of forcing many of these dangerous groups to close their doors – IS YOU.
I know that each day many people who are victims of “ex-gay” therapy read this website. You have stories that, if told, would severely damage the credibility and standing of the “ex-gay”myth. The time to come forward and tell your story is NOW.
Think about this.
Pedophile priests in the Catholic Church were able to get away with raping children for decades because no one spoke up. Once a few brave souls found the courage to tell their stories, a flood of other victims came forward. These profound revelations have changed the world and forced the Vatican to admit its horrible sin.
We can have the same affect on the “ex-gay” industry — IF YOU SPEAK OUT.
I know it can be difficult. I know it can be scary. However, you have the power to stop future clients – including children – from being victimized. You have the power to change the world. You have the ability to shut down this awful, big lie that causes suffering and suicides.
Please, be strong. Be brave. Come forward and let the truth win out. Tell your story today. Make a video. Hold the charlatans and scoundrels accountable.
Can you imagine a world without fraudulent “ex-gay” programs ripping apart lives? I certainly can.
Only with your help, can we take major steps towards making this dream a reality.

More power to your elbow, Wayne, but it’s still going to be a long haul.
Quite some years ago now there was broadcast in the UK on Radio 4 a programme entitled “Invasion of the Mind-Snatchers”, which focused on what I would call the credulity explosion, mainly in the USA. One of the leading members of the Center for Skeptical Inquiry (then CSICOP) remarked that you might feel confident in one year that a particular fraud or superstition had been devastatingly and definitively discredited, and then a few years down the line you found that it was back again.
The programme dealt mainly with such delusions as astrology, abductions by extra-terrestrials and creationism, and the “ex-gay” movement wasn’t even mentioned, but I remember thinking, even back then, that what the sceptical critics said about these things applied with equal force to the “ex-gay” movement.
There is no doubt, however, that the sun is inexorably setting on the “ex-gay” movement in America and Europe, which is why its leaders and supporters are now desperately trying to export their hocus-pocus to the former Eastern-bloc and Third World countries.
Keep it up, Wayne. At 77, no one in my memory has put the anti-gay bigots on the run as you have! I send many of your articles to others and many will in turn forward them on. The word is spreading.
William–well said comment regarding excluding the ex-gay movement from the other lunacies being perpetuated largely by the superstitious, ignorant right wing nuts. Jerry Johnson
As an educated and intelligent person who has studied and practiced Traditional (pre-1700s) Astrology for about 30 years now, I can firmly attest that it is not ‘an illusion’. It’s based on a metaphysical/spiritual philosophy and world view and has nothing to do with physical forces as materialist science pre-supposes and is only equipted to deal with. I will not argue about this with anyone as it’s always a waste of time, since we generally have two enirely different Weltanschauungen.
CSICOP are not skeptics (open minded), they’re debunkers (already made up their minds on all of these issues).
Gary astrology is a pile of BS. I will not argue with you about this as it would be a waste of time.
Just curious- what song is that at the end?
The song is “Sunny Day” by the Crosseyed Iguanas
