The description on the video says that it’s a pastor and that he’s speaking in tongues, which is the same exact thing I wrote in the headline, basically.

To NOT speak in tongues means you have NOT received the baptism of the holy spirit as described in Acts.
Which is why fundies pooh pooh mainline churches et al because they’re missing out on the FULLness of god. Getting saved is one thing, but one needs the baptism of the holy spirit, as evidenced by speaking in tongues to REALLY release the Power of God into your life to help you LIVE the vicTORIOUS Christian life, and emPOWER you to FULLY walk in god’s purpose for you.
ANYthing else is second best.

Oh by the looks of things, tongue speaking notwithstanding, it don’t look too too much like any authority as commanded by our friendly pastor had any effect.

Considering how nicely our ‘agenda’ has been progressing and what a nice sunny day it was, the only ‘age of darkness’ *was* when witchfinder generals like pastor Babelpuss (maybe that should have been one s) had all the power in society.
This whole speaking in tongues bit I think is somehow regulated in the Bible, if I recall. There is a verse in the Bible in the New Testament that states that if a person should break out in tongues that there should be someone in your midst that can interpret what was just spoken, otherwise it is like clanging symbols to others around. I didn’t see any interpreter in the video.
I’m not saying that tongue speaking is one of those things that people do just to garner attention. I’m sure it happens all the time. However, if you’re going to “suddenly be filled with the spirit” make sure we get fair warning first! LOL

The Bible itself says these babblers were mocking God and making a spectacle of themselves. According to the Bible, real tongues are always understood and they are always spoken in peace, grace, temperance, and self-sacrifice. None of that was evident at NOM’s protest.
