The American Family Association recently encouraged their wingnuts to take their hammers and flail their arms wildly away from The Home Depot, due to the fact that The Home Depot is Too Gay For Words, so let’s take the temperature of their boycott:
NEW YORK (AP) — Investors regained some enthusiasm for stocks Tuesday, sending prices sharply higher after reports showed a slight improvement in the housing market and a big jump in industrial production.
Investors were also encouraged by earnings from Home Depot Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. that were better than expected. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 103 points. All the major stock indexes were up more than 1 percent. Interest rates rose as investors moved out of the bond market and back into stocks.
It looks like the Home Depot boycott is just as successful as all of their other boycotts!

First thing I did when I heard the AFA was boycotting Home Depot was apply to work at Home Depot. lol
When I heard of the shrill anti-gay pressure group AFA’s boycott of Home Depot, I began shopping there again. I had stopped shopping there a year ago for unrelated reasons. But if unrepentant homophobes are against Home Depot, then I’m going to support Home Depot.
I did the same thing. I was going to rehab my bathroom, and as soon as I heard that the AFA was boycotting Home Depot, we started ordering: 1 huge light, 2 sconces, vanity with marble top, kohler fixtures, moen tub, marble flooring, paint, wallpaper stripper, caulking, tile, grout, new shower curtain rod, shower curtain, window valance, medicine cabinet, kohler toilet, and all new electrical outlets. I hope we have done our part in keeping them in business, at least for this year :)
Home Depot supports numerous antigay members of Congress, including some of the most notorious demagogues.

I think the adulation is misplaced.
I made a point of buying garden tools at Home Depot upon learning about the AFA boycott. Whenever AFA declares a boycott, I IMMEDIATELY buy something from the boycottee!
