I’m so upset.
Exodus Vice President Randy Thomas (pictured) took down his hilarious video where he pranced around Orlando, expressed horror that his deodorant smelled too gay, and ordered a designer Starbucks “iced venti, skinny vanilla latte”.
On his vanity blog,”Every Day Thoughts Collected, But Not Organized”, Thomas makes plenty of excuses for taking down the clownish video. However, he neglected to say that he was ashamed of his sideshow and his flamboyant behavior mocked the very “ex-gay” outfit that he works for.
In an effort to take a swipe at Truth Wins Out and appear to be a deep thinker, Thomas says:
About my communication style; I wasn’t ashamed of my mannerisms when I was gay…I am not ashamed of them now that I am not. I personally don’t judge a person’s character by their mannerisms. I believe judgments based solely on behavioral stereotypes reveal that the one judging is at best shallow and at worst ignorantly juvenile.
What a load of hogwash.
Exodus exists solely to humiliate effeminate gay men (except for Alan Chambers and Thomas) and masculine women. The organization has long hosted lipstick training seminars for lesbians and touch football games for gay men. It teaches gay men and women how to sit more gender appropriately, according to their archaic 1950′s mentality. In virtually every book sold by Exodus, increasing masculinity in men and femininity in women is discussed in great detail.
So, if living as a big ole’ queen or butch lesbian is wrong for the paying clients of Exodus, why is it okay for Thomas and his boss Chambers (pictured)? Why isn’t Thomas practicing what he preaches or adhering to the literature of his own organization? Why is he hawking books about increasing masculinity, if he acts like Richard Simmons on roller-blades and in spandex?
There is a word for people like Thomas: Hypocrite.
If Thomas cannot pass the masculinity program he is immorally selling others — at great cost to their self-esteem — then he should resign from Exodus International.
The least Thomas can do is be man enough to re-post his goofy video, so the whole world can see that Exodus is a silly fraud staffed with stereotypically gay men who sell books and offer seminars about “acting straight”.

Groups/individuals which preach the nonsense that saying “dude” and watching football or wearing dresses and using makeup “change” one’s sexual orientation are frauds. This is why they flip flop and change with the wind direction on this nonsense according to their target of the moment.
Wish someone had re-posted. I would have actually enjoyed seeing his hypocrisy made so blatant.

Randy also posted his article with “Effeminate Maybe… blah blah blah.” He openly acknowledges and affirms his non-masculine style.
He also noted that he is “zero swag.” I think he should re-think that one.

That’s exactly the same question that I asked when I attended the Exodus conference last year, and I got the exact same answer. I couldn’t believe it–when I first saw Randy, (BTW, they really should stop using that 10-year-old-Matt-Damon-looking pic of him in their literature) he seemed to me to be gayer than a three dollar bill! Which begs the question, why is it OK to de-gay oneself (only thru the power of Jebus, mind)in every way except outward behaviors? Is the power of Jebus insufficient to wipe away the vestigial remains of g-a-y??
Randy is thin skinned a hyper-sensitive to criticism. He is a textbook crybaby.
Ludovico, Randy, Alan, Sy Rogers and the rest are frauds. They prance and skip around the Exodus conference, while telling the paid attendees to be more masculine. And, in the case of lesbians to be proper “ladies”.
You are so right. If they can’t even change the outer layer, how is anyone supposed to believe that they can change the much-more complicated inside?
If Randy and Alan were Christians they would refund clients for taking their money and delivering nothing.

OMG, I forgot about Sy Rogers, Wayne! He figures prominently in a documentary on “Ex-Gays” I saw almost 20 years ago (as does Michael Bussee). I think it was called “One Nation Under God”(perhaps someone else who’s seen it can tell me if that’s the right title)
I remember watching Sy on a daytime talk show, and he had his wife by his side. He was clutching her hand like he was afraid she’d run away, which made perfect sense. Every time he opened his mouth to speak, she had this look on her face like she wanted to kill him.
