Some bunch of goons in my overwhelmingly Catholic state keeps hoisting a banner above busy Interstate 95 that says, “Homosexuality is a sin.”
Oops, did I say “goons”? I meant “sinners.”
Because according to the New Testament, it is a sin to call other people sinners.
Would it be a sin for me to hoist a counter-banner that reads, “Antigay tracts are a sin”? Or how about, “You’re a sinner for reading this. WATCH THE ROAD!”

Very true…yet the “Christians” on the right fail to take the plank out of their own eye…that would make them uncomfortable, and as we all know American Christianity is only about comfort.
This post raises a troubling problem: If it is a sin to call other people sinners, then I am calling the people who do this sinners. Therefore, I am sinning.
Someone should hoist a banner saying “Homosexuality is a sin in benighted Bronze Age mythologies.”
HOMOSEX IS IN!
You should know by now those hypocritical troglodytes see the Bible not as something to apply to their own lives but as a weapon to use against others.
For well over a year or more perhaps in Charleston SC a couple of years ago they had billboards on I-26 coming in and out of the city with messages that the local Gay Alliance sponsored. I don’t recall exactly what they said, but they were positive messages reminding people that someone they knew and loved was gay etc. Not long afterwards, anti-gay religious messages on billboards began to appear with scriptures usually from Leviticus condemning us to hell etc. This went on for quite some time along with the accompanying newspaper editorials with the ignorant comments. Of course the only people that write into those things are the people bothering to read the online version anyway. Charleston by the way has two gay churches, one MCC, one other that broke away from it, and at least one gay friendly Episcopal Church, a Congregational Church/UCC?
They assume they’ve removed the plank out of their own eyes.
