f**k celebrities. I’m f*****g sick of celebrity endorsements. (see: stephen colbert’s earnest testimony before congress.) I don’t care how “sincere” they are. NPH is not the king of gay people. Lady gaga is not the queen of gay people.
ALL GAY PEOPLE are the masters of their own existence.
Let’s continue to hear from the EVERYDAY people. I want to hear from HUNDREDS of them. Thousands. Maybe millions.
I agree, but I think it’s important that all different celebrities, with all kinds of audiences, are speaking up. I’m glad it’s getting so many people’s attention right now.
Americans love celebs. God bless them for speaking out!
Emily K, I agree that celebrity endorsment is getting a little ridiculous, but until full equality has been obtained and our young stop killing themselves because they are continually harrassed for being different I think we should take all the support we can get.
I’m glad they’re speaking out. Celebrities brink awareness to an issue. Getting upset about celebrities (in our current society) is like getting upset about traffic or airplane noise.
I don’t care who is speaking out. I’m just glad someone is. Celebrities get listened to , perhaps , a little more. If that brings an awareness to an issue then I am all for it. But I do agree that we also need to hear from so-called average Americans to.
