Indiana motor vehicles commissioner Andrew Miller, a member of Governor Mitch Daniels’ Republican administration, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a public indecency for soliciting sex from an undercover police officer in a men’s public restroom in downtown Indianapolis.
[...]
The police report said that Miller, 40, exposed himself and twice asked the officer if he wanted to “touch it.” He also asked whether the police officer was married, and after being told yes, told the officer it would “be OK,” and that he was married, too.
Miller, who has three children, faces up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine for the Class C misdemeanor, according to WTHR-TV.
Gross.

So they are going to lay off 5,000 teachers in Indiana but they have enough to pay a bunch of cops to hang around a bathroom stopping dangerous people asking other grown men for dates. Nice

Will someone please show this man’s direct connection to anti-gay activities? I sometimes get the impression that this web site assumes someone is virulently anti-gay just because they are a republican, or, in this case, they work for a republican administration.
Is an anti-gay individual being exposed? (pardon the pun)
No one insinuated that he had a direct connection to anti-gay activities.
It’s just par for the course, in a Republican administration. You’ll notice, if you read us regularly, that not every single story is specifically about one thing.
It is true and sad, Mike, that resources are still spent on such stings, when they should go to real needs in the community, such as education and health care, fixing roads etc.
Uh, Jim, he is a Republican and they have anti-gay planks in their platform. However, I didn’t read anything in the article that said he was anti-gay.
what are undercover cops doing in bathrooms?

“Will someone please show this man’s direct connection to anti-gay activities?”
Just to clarify, Miller wasn’t outed by a LGBT activist due to hypocrisy. He was outed by the police as a result of a sting.
As it turns out, he was probably involved in a possibly anti-LGBT activity, when the Motor Vehicle Bureau refused to approve an affinity license plate for a LGBT youth group: http://tiny.cc/rh6tq

Hoosier Daddy!
It’s a huge waste of our money to run this kind of scam, but somehow I don’t mind it quite so much when someone in power is caught by it. I don’t know that Powell was virulently anti-gay like Larry Craig, but I can’t understand LCR because they are obviously unwanted as RINOS
