Le Curtian…Applaus a vous…

Frightening. That someone this messed up has the possibility of being governor of a great state like NY. So, homosexuality is bad–beastiality is okay?
If you ask me, Paladino just put paid to any chance he *might* have had of winning in November. These statements will lose him both New York City and Albany and I seriously doubt that without these two key cities he has the proverbial snowball’s chance.
Paladino is the new face of the GOP and note how silent the party has become after his rant. It only proves that it approves of everything he’s saying. So to all of those disillusioned with the Democrats as I am, understandably so, don’t stay home on November 2. If you do, you’ll make Paladino’s chances of getting elected a real possibility. Is that we want for our state or any state? As mad as I am with the dems for failing to pass DADT, among other things, I’ll take them over a bunch of psychotalking teabaggers any day. Don’t enable them by not voting. Its dangerous….elections have consequences.
Although, I love that he brings in his gay nephew. Someone should get that nephew in an interview and find out what he thinks about his crazy uncle.
Maybe people should just leave family members alone instead.
Blah, blah, blah. His goose is cooked. Period.
Bob – I normally agree that we should keep family out of it, but when politicians “use” their family members to get votes, THEY have invited the press…especially when the family member is an adult. (Not sure what the case is here with his nephew.) Reminds me of Palin holding up her autistic child at the convention like Mufasa holding up Simba after his birth, or her bragging about Bristol “making the right choices.”
In some sense every politician “uses” their families. I take issue with us telling a politician’s family members, like Paladino’s Gay nephew or O’Donnell’s Lesbian sister what they should do.
Bob, Paladino brought up the nephew. I just think it would be interesting to ask the nephew what he thinks. I didn’t tell the nephew what he should do. O’Donnell’s lesbian sister inserted herself into the election–no one forced her. Once she did that she became a public figure. Is it that you only resent using family members if they disagree with you? If people are going to bring up their family members that makes them part of the story–especially if they’re using these members to try to excuse their homophobia. Maybe if you were actually gay and affected by the actions of these anti-gay politicians (which Paladino and O’Donnell are) you wouldn’t be so blaise on the issue.
Bob, what’s your problem? Where did anyone here tell anyone what to do? Why are so defensive about these family members. O’Donnell’s sister put herself forward supporting her homophobe sister–she opened herself up to criticism. Are you really so dumb about this that you think once someone does that they’ll just be left alone? As far as Paladino’s nephew all Daniel did was suggest it might be interesting to hear what his supposedly out gay nephew thinks about his homophobe uncle using him to get out of his rabidly anti-gay comments. You have a problem with that? Really? When my homophobe sister used me to defend her homophobia you can believe me I wasn’t happy about it.
If I was so blaise I wouldn’t bother to comment on it. While it might be interesting to know what Paladino’s nephew thinks I don’t think a reporter should be asking him.
Wayne is telling Jenny O’Donnell that she has a problem in another article on this site and I was bothered by his judgemental attitude. It seems to me Wayne is suggesting that she really should oppose her sister. Jenny O’Donnell was defending her sister against the claims of a hostile protester who confronted her.
Why shouldn’t a reporter ask him what he thinks? Why would that be a problem? He doesn’t have to answer but what’s wrong with asking him?
Also, I don’t care if Jenny O’Donnell is defending her sister. The fact is her sister is rabidly anti-gay, she supports ex-gay groups and has made anti-gay statements. That’s what’s important. She’s not running for “sister of the year” she’s running for political office.
Because the nephew might be damaged by the publicity.
What is ‘blaise’?
“Blaise” should have been blase’.
Bob, ne sois pas Blaise! Et de plus, foutes-nous la paix, espèce de con!

Paladino est né dans une poubelle.
Bob, the “out” nephew is an adult. He can make his own decision as to whether he wants to talk to a reporter. And again, he’s out–maybe you don’t understand that concept but it pretty much means you can’t be blackmailed for being gay. And again, he’s an adult which means he can make his own decisions. Until you’ve experienced being “out” I guess we can’t really expect you to know how that frees you up from being terrified of everything.
