My kid plays soccer. Bright eye catching cleats are common (before breast cancer awareness). Bright yellow, orange, red, pink, metallic blues, etc are common. On the sidelines, people are more like to comment on how well the kid in the pink cleats is playing than referring to his number. This coach is an idiot. The kids are more grown up than he is.
