Odd, but I liked it.
Juvenile and a little mean spirited.
Mark 3:29 – another verse of many that can’t possibly be taken literally; only in context.
Hahahaha.
Even in context much of the Bible is pretty weird. And really? Mean spirited? (or was that a pun?) Why are Christians so thin skinned? Especially with the kind of put-downs so many of them use against atheists, gays, and pretty much any religion that isn’t theirs?
I never put anyone down for who or what they are and I said a *little* mean spirited, which it was. *But*, you’re right, it doesn’t even compare to the s**t that right-wing “christians” dump on us.
Nothing mean spirited about simply asserting one’s beliefs. And in a country where half of the population thinks that the universe is 6,000 years old as stated in the legend of Genesis, and where it is assumed by the vast majority of people, that you can’t be good if you don’t do ‘God’. It’s necessary for a few good people to be vocal about their non-belief to challenge this stupidity.
Its pretty tough to imagine another way Mark 3:29 can be taken other than literally.
