You probably know the story. The app that allowed low information fundamentalists to sign the highly bigoted Manhattan Declaration, the ultimate white Christian victim statement, was removed from the App Store. Ever since then, the Religious Right has been crying like John Boehner watching A Walk to Remember.
So now NOM has a new ad out where they direct the blubbering toward Steve Jobs, because he is mean, and he doesn’t consider the feelings of garden variety hatemongers like Maggie Gallagher and Brian Brown. Like all their ads, it’s overdramatic and unintentionally funny, but here it is if you want to watch it:
[h/t Joe]

I’ve heard of the Manhattan Project, umm I mean Declaration, but I’ve never had the misfortune to actually have to read it. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the link and while scanning the usual tripe that they all write, I was beginning to feel bilious since I just had lunch, so had to stop. I was tempted to ‘sign the document’ using the names of famous criminals, nazis etc., but since I’m at work, I dont want this IP address available to them in any way, so declined. Besides, I dont want to lower myself to their level.
ps…thank you to Steve Jobs and Apple for not giving in to these asswipe bullies the way the president and the democrats always seem to do.
I don’t know if this is actually Steve Jobs blog or not but Wendy Equality posted it on her link a day or so ago. I think it’s an excellent read.

These are the same whackjobs who insist private businesses should be able to discriminate at will against anybody they wish. So why are they now whining and wringing their hands because a private business chose not to do business with them?
Apparently it’s only OK for businesses and employees to refuse service to gay people and women seeking reproductive health services.
