Tony Perkins’ lies are getting bigger and bolder. It’s like he’s not even trying to say things that have the merest veneer of plausibility, instead just making up bigger and stranger lies as he goes along.
But then again, he’s a hate group leader representing a rapidly dwindling segment of the population, so I imagine he’s a bit freaked at the moment.

Goddess, the hysteria never stops with the haters, does it? All I can say is that Tony Perkins has some very critical screws loose.
They have to lie to keep the fear machine going. However, it is against the 10 commandments they want all to follow. “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor” means you don’t say things about your neighbors that you know to be false either in court or the court of public opinion.
These nutjobs have absolutely nothing to do with the Christ. They have left him a long time ago.
Is anyone else, just the tiniest bit disappointed that Jerry Falwell and James Kennedy did not live to see this?

I really need someone to explain to me how having gay people serving w/o being afraid of being discharged if it is known they are gay is going to result in loss of Marine lives. This, even though, gay people have been serving and known to be serving all the time. He even used the “blood on their hands” metaphor. I also note he only said “Marines” and not military. Is that because only the Marines somewhat objected to open service or don’t the other military branches ever fight?
Even the English language with its millions of words, more than any other in the world, does not contain enough adjectives to describe this absolute asininity and fear-mongering.
I hope that gay-inspired knot in his stomach lasts him the rest of his lying, bigoted life.
General Amos, the Commandant of the Marine Corps who was just recently appointed to that position by President Obama, has made the same claims. I think that is why the focus is on the Marines dying and losing limbs due to the kinda-sorta-maybe-at-some-time repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell that the Congress just voted on.
So, the real question isn’t why silly fey nutjob Tony Perkins is so worried about Marines losing appendages due to Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. The real question is why President Obama would allow Gen. Amos to remain as Commandant of the Marine Corps despite his lack of respect for the chain of command and civilian control of the military. I guess Gen. Amos knows that the Commander in Chief has no backbone, and he can get away with undermining Obama without consequence.
