But the politically correct attitude not only insists that heterosexual and homosexual relationships are equivalent, but also erases differences between relationships between two women and relationships between two men. If men and women are profoundly different-and both science and common sense tell us they are- then an all-female couple is even more different from an all-male couple than either homosexual bond differs from a heterosexual union. This distinction helps explain the oft-noted quirk in public attitudes that sees stronger opposition and denunciation, in the Old Testament and elsewhere, to a physical relationship between two males and intimacy between two females. A physical connection between a female couple, like a physical connection between man and woman, is based primarily on acts of affection. The most common sexual practice between two men involves an act of aggression —inflicting more pain than pleasure for at least one of the parties. Even decisions by Congress, equating homosexual and heterosexual relationships, or erasing distinctions between the interaction between lesbians on the one hand and gay males on the other, cannot repeal politically incorrect realities.
Michael: You’re doing it wrong.

Where did he get his education on male/male sex–from one of Petey’s BDSM “research” parties?
For people who find homosex so appalling it appears to be the only thing they focus on when I comes to gay people.
“The most common sexual practice between two men involves an act of aggression”
How is a man giving another man a blow-job a act of act of aggression? Have I been doing it wrong?
Wha–? Medved isn’t making ANY sense here. Where did he get these toxic ideas about sexuality?
Try more lube, Michael.
And cut out the sanctimonious BS.
I actually own a couple of Medved’s books from his less-wingnutty days, when his movie reviews were apolitical and mostly just snarking on really bad ones, and it’s a damn shame he went this road, because he used to be a really funny guy. Further proof of the Dennis Miller Effect- for conservatism to enter an organism, humor must exit to make room.
My father had a few very wise sayings that he applied to a variety of situations.
Here ya go.
THERE ARE MORE HORSE’S ASSES IN THE WORLD THAN THERE ARE HORSES.
Yeah, lots more lube Michael…you can never use too much!! I’m sorry your experience was not enjoyable, but I’m sure you’ll know better next time.
YAY SEX ED LOL
“The most common sexual practice between two men involves an act of aggression —inflicting more pain than pleasure for at least one of the parties.”
Um… sounds akin to rape to me.
And the gay men I know aren’t too keen on that type of “sexual” behaviour.
How ’bout some ACtual reserach Mr Medved instead of mindless opining? There IS a difference between a general, common household and garden, kneejerk opinion, and one that is informed.
Something you may want to consider in future.
Ok Michael. So what if you are right? Gay rights activists are not seeking acceptance or approval from anyone, we are seeking legal equality in a nation built on the U.S. Constitution.
For younger readers, this attitude wasn’t all that strange 20-30 years ago when gay relations, to some extent, reflected societal attitudes. A lot of gays back then internalized these attitudes. It was not uncommon for gays to believe that they had to behave in a butch/femme dichotomy. One man had to be the husband while the other man had to be the wife. Factor in the leather crowd, at least in straight eyes, and the hyper-masculinity that has been prominent the last 20 years. All of that and the fact that for too many straight men it is a contest of who is stronger or superior, who figure that our attitudes must mirror theirs. Woman as the caregiver and homemaker and the man as the one who goes out and fights the elements to bring home the food and protect his family. Fortunately, today’s gay man usually no longer reflects those attitudes.
In other words, John, he’s talking outdated wannabe-Freudian evo-psych gender binary b******t? That sounds about right.
I think he’s lending more credence to the idea that homophobia = misogyny in ways that he might not realize, and how internalized it can get (to the point that he’s making up b******t in order to account for it). OR he’s just flat out making up s**t so that he doesn’t seem like such a sexist moron.
And his idea that men are naturally aggressive in a relationship while women are naturally passive is really rather frightening, because it just reeks of spousal abuse apologetics.
I guess this guy has never met a “power bottom”? That kind of tears his arguement to pieces….so to say. Ok Mike….your next stupid generalization comment on gays that has nothing to do with real life…we’re waiting…(the sound of crickets)…….
oh yeah, lots more lube, and some paper towels in case of santorium!

Funny that the same people who are constantly pitching fits over obscenity can’t stop publishing very bad porn.
Keep in mind, Mike’s never had anything smaller than his head up his a*s.
Michael Medved, as always, full of s**t. Where he gets this nonsense is beyond me. One thing is sure, like most people who claim they find gay sex an abomination, they sure do carry on about it alot–one could say they are obsessed.
