Lest you think they’re doing this for moral reasons, stop right there:
An anti-gay church group says it will not picket the funeral of the 9-year-old girl killed in Tucson in exchange for air time on two radio stations, The Topeka Capital-Journal reports, but will go ahead with pickets at the funeral of a federal judge killed in the attack.
The report comes as the Arizona legislature has unanimously passed emergency legislation aimed at keeping the protesters at bay at the funerals of the victims of Saturday’s shootings.

The leader of the group, Fred Phelps, has praised the shootings in Tucson as part of “God’s revenge.”
Although spokeswoman Shirley Phelps-Roper confirms the decision not to protest at the funeral of 9-year-old Christina-Taylor Green, the organization has not removed its protest call from its website.

This country mostly ignored them while they pestered the mourners at gay folk’s funerals.
Now that the Phelps have expanded their targets, NOW people get upset at them!
What made people think that such hateful people would contain their nastiness to just gay people?
And no, children’s funerals apparently are fair game too.
Free speech doesn’t include harassment, provocation and incitement. The more the Phelps keep pushing people, maybe one or more of them will end up like the poor souls who died in this mass killing.
But unlike the others, the Phelps have it coming.
You mean Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh aren’t giving them free air time regardless of what they do or don’t do?!
