Amidst an anti-Muslim tirade of word salad convoluted enough to make a Palin bow down in awe and say, “Mommy?,” failed actress and even more failed comedienne Victoria Jackson had this to say about gay people on WingNutDaily:
This new al-Qaida magazine for women has beauty tips and suicide-bomber tips! Gimme a break! That is as ridiculous as two men kissing on the mouth! And I don’t care what is politically correct. Everyone knows that two men on a wedding cake is a comedy skit, not an “alternate lifestyle”! There I said it! Ridiculous!
Did you see “Glee” this week? Sickening! And, besides shoving the gay thing down our throats, they made a mockery of Christians – again! I wonder what their agenda is? Hey, producers of “Glee” – what’s your agenda? One-way tolerance?
One would think that an actress who failed her way out of Saturday Night Live would understand that they are not called “skits,” but rather “sketches,” but again, we are talking about a failure here. Anyway, is there anything else that needs to be said? Nah.
The picture above, which depicts irrational, bedwetting fear and an IQ likely hovering in the high double digits, was screen capped by the writer at Gin and Tacos, which is a blog you should be reading.

I can’t tell. Is that dog next to her couch dead and stuffed, or has it been driven into a catatonic state by Screecher Jackson?
She looks like a blow-up doll wearing mouseketeer ears.
ps..the dog looks like a statue, I hope so, I wouldn’t trust her to take care of a goldfish.
This is really just sad. I remember her when she was part of what I recall as the best cast on Saturday Night Live. At least twice she played the innocent little girl whose actions were twisted into something perverse–and absurd–by Dana Carvey’s Church Lady; now she IS the judgemental church lady!
I also remember her whining that Nora Dunn boycotting the show that featured talentless misogynist Andrew “Dice” Clay was nothing but a stunt. Twenty years later we know Dunn had principles and Jackson is as vacuous, untalented and empty as Clay.
My GOD what a stupid woman. She looks and sounds like Minnie Mouse crossed with Anita Bryant, only fatter.
Scott…thats…perfect. The description I mean! Absolutely spot on.
Trailer trash with money and a microphone.
Just one of the many reasons why the only T.V. gigs this has been/never was can get are on Fox, TBN, and the 700 club.
Taking cheap shots at those who argue against dignity & equality undermines the legitimacy of our case & adds fuel to the fires of hate.
Nothing can possibly “undermine” the legitimacy of our case. In the same way that anti-black discrimination is an absolute wrong, anti-gay discrimination is an absolute wrong. Or to look at it another way, you could poke fun at somebody who is promoting creationism over evolution as science, and evolution would still be actual science, and creationism not science at all. People who promote creationism deserve to be made fun of. So does Victoria Jackson.
Yeah, uh, thank you, Scott.
Pardon…hit the submit by accident…she is not worthy of being hated, she is worthy of far worse; being mocked and shown for the failure as a human being she is
Now we know she didn’t just play a stupid bimbo on TV–she really is one.
This clip from CNN with Jackson is priceless:

I’m always pleased when idiots like her become one of the more visible faces of Christianity in America.
Victoria Jackson is my cousin, though we haven’t spoken in over 20 years. She wasn’t always like this but seems to me to either have some kind of escalating mental illness or is on the verge of a breakdown. I cringe every time I see her in the news; it’s hard to see someone in your family spout such paranoia (She thinks Obama has her place bugged.) and hate. But she doesn’t speak for Christianity any more than Fred Phelps does. She needs to be on meds, or a different set of meds.
[...] had fun this morning with Victoria Jackson’s latest column, where she admirably typed words in what appears to be the English language, about how scared she [...]
“…besides shoving the gay thing down our throats….” No comment given….or needed.
“(She thinks Obama has her place bugged.)”
Damn. Well, that explains a lot.
She was on SNL for like six seasons, I’d hardly call that a failure. Not that I’m defending her comments, I’m actually rather disappointed by them as I’d had nothing but good memories of her prior to this.
“She was on SNL for like six seasons, I’d hardly call that a failure.”
As someone who was in the business for a number of years, any success is success, and nothing can take it away. However I think the point that was being made here was that her career post-SNL went nowhere fast, which is something that happens all too frequently.
And judging from her cousin’s remarks above, my guess would be that she couldn’t cope with the loss of her career and she is now either ON some sort of drugs or NEEDS some sort of drugs that she isn’t getting.
Donald, go back and watch the episodes of SNL she was on. She rarely got to do more than speak a few words. She always played a secretary or girlfriend or similar non-character who didn’t really have anything to do in the sketch. When she was in a sketch it often seemed just to be a pity casting. The perfect example is when they did a spoof of Family Ties and she played the younger sister who only said “yeah” occasionally. It was both a spoof of what they had the girl do on Family Ties and what they let Victoria Jackson do on SNL.
[...] the wonderment that has been former SNL cast member Victoria Jackson over the past few days, please catch up, for she is doing it again, in her latest column: Driving to the Atlanta airport, I thought [...]
Daniel, her basic schtick was playing ditzy women, even during the news segments when she played herself. She once said she objected to doing a sketch in which her character was supposed to pray; I’m betting she turned down a lot of sketch parts that other female cast members were willing to do.
Bill S, I doubt it. Go back and watch the show. The way this show worked if you turned down characters you didn’t get air time, yet she stayed on the show basically standing there in low cut blouses with big blonde hair for years. She didn’t turn down parts, she was extremely limited in the parts she could do. I liked her early appearances on the Tonight Show where she did her poetry or her songs but she never did anything of note on SNL.
