I had not realized Exodus had moved the goalposts this far into la-la-land, but here’s Randy Thomas!
As Jeff pointed out, we don’t do “ex-gay therapy.” The app is a resource app that pulled in many of our online resources including blog posts, announcements, event information and even a powerful article against bullying.
Also, we do not label ourselves “ex-gay” but identify as Christians who have had or have same sex attractions. Our goal is to live out our lives congruent with our faith. Exodus is here to help those with similar beliefs to do the same.
Really, guys. They never said they could change anyone’s sexuality. They never even said they aren’t gay anymore. We have always been at war with Eastasia, and Randy Thomas doesn’t know what you guys are even talking about or why you’re being so mean and stuff.

And here you really see it again: all these organizations do is pressure people to lie to themselves, about themselves. You do that long enough and the personal dishonesty becomes so ingrained, so second nature, that you loose the ability to distinguish between what is true and what isn’t.
And so you move step by step, deeper into the Pit, and what was discomfort at watching yourself telling lies with a straight face turns into lying without a shred of guilt because it is for the Cause, turns into lying as a reflex because you no longer care to know what the truth is, turns into lying because telling the truth scares you. Why no…we never said change is possible…
All these organizations do is rot people from within. I suppose you could call that change too.
There is nothing wrong with looking sterotypically gay….but, COULD he look gayer? I mean, short of wearing high heals and carrying a prada handbag full of rainbows that is?

A requirement to be staff at Exodus is to be a pathological liar. They are simply incapable of telling the truth.
Don’t do ex-gay therapy? That’s true if you use the legitimate definition of therapy. Well, the goal post just disappeared over the horizon.
