I don’t know why Focus’s Stuart Smalley Shepard is so confused about what happened when Apple pulled Exodus’s iPhone app, but then again he’s never shown a propensity for deep thinking in the past. Also, he identifies Exodus as simply a group which teaches that through Jesus you can experience “radical change.” Doesn’t even mention the “ex-gay” propaganda. Is “ex-gay” therapy becoming a laughingstock even within the walls of Focus?

Well, golly, if Juh-HEE-zuzz can’t manage to make a queer guy straight, maybe all those other “radical change” conversion stories are a bunch of BS as well… (sure as hell pulled all the yarn out of MY faith sweater when I started yanking on that thread).
Sigh. Not exactly a “full armor of faith” metaphor, but it was indoor recess today and I’m fried…
These people are total bitches for complaining about 2 apps out of a 1000 christian apps. Oh they’ll say we will go after those other christian apps next but the thing is we don’t care if they use the Iphone to spread the “good news” to other gullible people. The reason we opposed these apps is that they specifically targeted gays for harm and spread junk science.
Not at all surprising given the amount of blatantly misleading language they constantly use. Terms like “social transformation” or “family research council” all sound perfectly respectable. If they were honest with themselves and with us they would call themselves “the gay propaganda machine” or “lies r us”, but that wouldn’t look good on their letterhead, and they would have a hard time finding places to hold their conferences.
Can it get more disingenuous than this? Not a peep about the real purpose of those apps. Of course, gay people shouldn’t be offended by the love they are trying to shower on us.
What part of “private company” don’t these boobs understand about Apple?
