Pat Robertson, Boy Genius, strikes again, claiming that liberals support reproductive health/rights in order to make lesbians feel better about not being able to have children…what, lesbians can’t birth babies? I had no idea.
At 0:36, when Pat says the word “lesbian” and then pants like he’s out of breath…well, let’s just say I cackled.
It takes some kind of stupid to actually believe that the majority of the country which supports keeping Roe v. Wade intact does so because they are all chomping at the bit to kill babies.
But maybe he’s right! Maybe the librul agenda really is about making lesbians feel better! For instance, we fight global warming because we don’t want lesbians to get too hot. You’ll thank us later, Pam Spaulding!
Oy, Pat Robertson.

Robertson just hates the fact that lesbians only have babies when they want and try to–not after a drunken night with some stranger they met in a bar or when the birth control (which most Christians use even as they rail against it) fails.
Watching Pat Robertson is pretty much like watching the disintegration of the human mind.
Emma, what was never there to begin with can’t disintegrate. :)
I wonder if ol’ Pat has girl on girl sex fantasies like most straight guys do?
I’m with Pat – “think about it ladies and gentlemen,” because if he makes sense to you, then you’re on the same choo-choo he is and it’s well ’round the bend now. This man has been adrift for years and he’s just about beyond the horizon.
He’s just jealous that lesbians
- are the most monogamous couples (more than heteros)
- have the “safest” sex (not one case of HIV transmission recorded between exlusively WSW lesbians)
- are having a great time in bed without the aid of a straight man (like him.)
When this dinosaur “goes to the light ” he’s gonna have a lot of”splaining” to do to the big guy upstairs about all of the misery he has caused to fellow human beings here on earth …
Did… anyone understand what he was trying to say?
Okay Mister Robertson (Mister because you renounced your ordination when you were running for president), I did think about it. I thought of the lesbian women I know who have had babies and what good mothers they and their partners have been. You were quite right about not wanting to “play all this psychological stuff.” You don’t know what you are talking about.
the co-host seemed confused by his question, especially since he had a Freudian slip about the “advantage” the lesbian has over a married woman. It’s hard to tell what she’s thinking, but one might surmise that she’s thinking a lesbian has more control over her body than a straight woman.
Of course Pat comes at this with an incorrect assumption: that lesbians can’t have children. Of course they can!
keltic, I wonder if Pat Robertson understands English. Not only did he use the word “advantage” when, one assumes, he meant disadvantage, but, as David Pakman noted, he also used the word “livid” incorrectly.
