You remember Stacey Campfield from the other day. If you don’t, he’s the bizarre Tennessee State Senator who introduces a bill every single year to ban any discussion of homosexuality in Tennessee’s schools before high school. It’s a bill to address a nonexistent problem, but Stacey Campfield is absolutely obsessed with all things gay, so it’s kind of his hallmark issue. One would think he might have constituents to answer to, but we digress.
Anyway, Stacey went on the lovely David Pakman’s radio show today, and a good time was had by all:
Stacey Campfield bumbles a lot when he’s answering questions, but that’s because he’s not very bright.

Somebody has issues.
Holy crap. He thinks his bill would prevent a teacher from voicing HIS (Campfield’s) bigoted opinion of LGBT students and could therefore prevent a suicidal outlook. What a duplicitous and self-deluded piece of work…
Bigotry is not logical.
What about the children who have two moms or two dads? Are they prevented from ever talking about their families? Are they going to be taught that heterosexuality is “normal” and therefore their families are not? And what about the LGBTQ youth who cannot talk to their parents/families for fear of rejection? They have no where to go?
I’m f***ing sin=ck and tired of the “protect the children from the evil gays” meme these idiots hide behind whenever they trot out this garbage. They are HURTING kids with these laws!
Yeah, this really pisses me off. Not particularly child-oriented, but does this mean that a child from a GLBT family gets muzzled? What silliness. As if someone could catch “teh gay” from talking about it. As for the “suicide prevention” crap can the GOP idiots come up with any more creative lies?
