‘Christian therapist’ — he’s neither! And from what he said in that clip about lgbt children, he should have his license revoked. BTW-his voice sounds like he might be a member of the ‘wide stance’ club.

Check this man’s credentials. On his website, he claims a “Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology” from Union Graduate Institute (a correspondence school in Ohio). Union has never offered a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. They have a “Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies” and an unaccredited Psy.D.

He never lists his license on his website, identifying himself only by degrees (a Regent U. MA and the Union Ph.D.). This means one of two things: a) he’s not licensed, or more likely b) he has a subdoctoral license (like an LMFT or LPCC) and he’s trying to obscure that by listing his Ph.D.

If he doesn’t have a license (he probably does), then he’s in deep trouble. If he does have a license, then his misrepresentation of his Ph.D. should be brought to the attention of his licensing board.

Am I the only one who is offended by calling anti-gay people – gay?!? Seriously of all the insults people can say about people like Marcus Bachmann the best anyone can say ‘he must be gay’. – Personally I find comments like that to be offensive to every single happy and well adjust LGBT person.

Just picture a Michele Bachmann presidency:

While she is running the country into the ground, the First Lady will be running a Christian ex-gay counseling clinic in a back room of the White House. Then newly-minted ex-gay graduates will make their public debuts at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the south lawn.

(Remember, it’s traditional for every First Lady to take up a cause.)

Let’s conduct a poll:

o I suspect that Marcus is a homosexual.
o I surmise that Marcus is a closeted homosexual.
o I speculate that Marcus is same-sex-attracted.
o I believe that Marcus is “ex-gay.”
o I tend to believe that Marcus is gay.
o I have no doubt that Marcus is gayer than gay.

(I subscribe to the American Family Association School of Polling where every answer-option to a question is essentially the same, but with some difference in nuance or tone.)

He does not have to actually be a homosexual to be a hypocrite. His therapy practice trains/urges gay men to be more masculine. He has clearly failed his own test and needs therapy.

Priya Lynn: I would define things a little differently:

Gay = Same-sex identified;
Homosexual = Same-sex attracted.

I have no doubt that Pope Ratzinger, George Rekkers, Larry Craig and Roy Cohen are/were homosexuals, but I would never classify them as gay.

Paul, don’t fall into the anti-gay’s trap by giving people the false impression that one can stop being gay. That’s what you do when you say obviously gay people are not gay.

The general public uses/perceives the word gay to mean same sex attracted. Only the religious right versed in “ex-gay” speak uses it to mean “same sex identified. Don’t confuse the public by implying that people like Rekkers, Craig, and Cohen aren’t gay.

Thanks to the Stephanie Miller Show on Sirius Radio Left for exposing the story of Marcus Bachmann on June 28. You didn’t read about this very public news on this website about the Bachmann’s real agenda until after that show and others wrote in to this website master to report it. Let’s stop grandstanding on marriage rights, DADT, DOMA, etc., all important causes, but keep our eyes on the ball, and work to fight against the real threat to our civil and human rights; and she and her “husband” , are running for President and Christian Right Closet Case of the USA, in the lead currently for the Repub party. Protest at their rallies, or the Bachmannites will have us all on-board the railroad cattle cars before you know it. It’s happened before.

Priya: I’m not worried about confusing the public. I am also not willing to credit his Popeship, Rekkers, Craig or Roy Cohn (sorry I misspelled his name originally) with the respect that I attach to the word gay, which implies to me a level of self-knowledge and acceptance that these turkeys clearly don’t have. I am willing to label them homosexual however, because they undoubtedly like to, or would like to get it on with other men. The question of stopping being gay has nothing to do with the issue as far as I can see. Maybe these guys will get their acts together someday and will graduate from homosexual to gay. We can always hope!

That combined with his height and weight makes him literally look and sound like a gay barbarian. He cant wait to be the first lady… what a total douch. Yes, he’s a closet homosexual. All anti-gay bigots are. This whole culture war over teh gays is really an intra-gay war. It’s being fought between gays who are out and gays who are in the closet. But everybody on both sides of this fight is gay.
