Hmmm…survivor benefits are available for the legal children of parents, heterosexual or homosexual…so DOMA needs to be repealed so that children can get survivor benefits? Huh?

Survivor benefits are also given to the legal step-children. And under DOMA, legal step-children of gay people are not recognized under federal law.
