   I have a gay friend who really doesn’t follow gay politics very much and was incredulous when I told him that there were gay republicans, (including one named Karger who wanted to run for president). I had to give him a crash course and told him to start reading this website. He’d never even heard of GOProud.
   Ignorance is dangerous.

   Rick Santorum has no gay friends. The gay people he knows might, for some reason, be polite to him, but I can’t fathom calling a self-righteous, sanctimonious creature like him, “friend”. Makes one want to puke. Besides, saying he has “gay friends” says what? It says he doesn’t know what “friend” means.
