Reform Judaism, by the way, is the most prominent group within the Jewish faith in the United States. This sort of summarily smacks down the Christian Right’s popular lie that their hate movement is “interfaith.”

Most Jews in general are supportive of Equality. This includes a good chunk of the Orthodox, also called the “Modern Orthodox.” It’s the Ultra-Orthodox – the Black Hats – that have any real hate. And like any homophobe, they also have somewhat of a disdain for womenfolk.
Good to hear that Emily, and a bit of a surprise about the Modern Orthodox (isn’t that a paraDox–haha). I was also (pleasantly) surprised when a poll showed that Roman Catholics and especially Hispanic RCs were more likely to support marriage equality than most other denominations. Go figure…
