Look, it’s Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council hate group, clinging childishly to the belief that average Americans are bigots with weird hair like he is. It’s very, very sad, and we should all take a break from making fun of him to pity him.
He says that DADT repeal will change the military, due to the fact that soldiers who are sad bigots like Peter Sprigg will have to take up a Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell policy about their weird, unnatural hatred of gays. Or something. Who knows what this man is ever talking about? Meanwhile, the actual military is pretty much shrugging their shoulders at the change, because they’re grown-ups.

Sprigg’s noting the pre-DADT history of outright bans on gay service is sure relevant — all of the arguments against repeal were actually, at their core, pressing for a new ban.
With only a couple of days post-DADT, the landscape is completely different. LGB servicemembers now have voices and faces. It’s time for Sprigg to make his points face-to-face with them.
Reinstating DADT is not an option, given that the public now knows thousands of its LGB military folks. I’d wager that putting DADT back in force would trigger more discharges than the 14,000+ when it was first in place.
I want to see Sprigg toe-to-toe with LGB folks, telling them their service is no longer wanted, and they should be discharged and forced to repay their training costs.
Yeah… like that’s going to happen.
Not transgendered individuals!
“It’s tradition. That makes it OK.” -Weird Al
Shrill anti-gay activist Sprigg is mad, because he sees the writing on the wall. He and other false prophet members of the anti-gay lobby may have to get REAL jobs. Our nation is rejecting the perverted idea that “Love thy neighbor” really means “prevent gay Americans from serving their country.” I’m proud of America! God bless America!
You should see all the bitching over at Huff:ost. Whine, whine, whine.
It’s over Peter, It’s too late, time to let go…
Why do they keep giving this Nazi a platform?
What a total prick.
I hope they saw the cover of the New York Times yesterday. There was a big photo of a gay community center in Tulsa OK (of all places) with a marine setting up his recruiting ‘stuff’. The article was about how military recruiters, who have quotas to meet, are all scurrying to start signing up gays. Oh the humanity! haha My partner was in the Army for 30+ years and had ‘recruiting’ duty for a portion of it. He said those guys get reamed out if they don’t meet their quotas and will sign up anyone who qualifies. This is a bonanza for them.
Not to change the subject or anything, but Michael Brown devoted his show to a combo of whining about the repeal of DADT and the evils of marriage equality. He has an article in Townhall.com about a man who is married to a goat. Really. That’s his idea of an intellectual argument. Same-sex marriage = man and goat. I can’t believe he gets away with that stuff; it’s worse than anything Rick Santorum had to say.
Michael Brown is an evil phony.
He never answered the first question: Do you believe the American public agrees with Sen. Udall? Why? – because he doesn’t have a clue. I love it when the news media feels they “have to” interview these bigoted clowns. We already know what they think, say, and do. We’ve seen and heard it a bazillion times. They are not relevant in the least. Oh, and of course, he’s concerned about religious freedom when it comes to spouting your personal animosities and bigotry. Well, guess what, you moron – In the military, everyone’s freedom of speech is limited to some degree if it in any way impacts unit cohesion, performance, and capability. Morons all!
