In the first season they had a teen pregnancy storyline. I don’t remember Bryan getting his undies in a knot over that. (But then again, Fischer believes the legal marrying should be lowered to reflect the age at which girls can become pregnant.)
Glee holds to high standards when presenting their viewpoints. It will be interesting to watch and see how they deal with this issue. In reading stats on google, it shows teen suicides increased in the nineties, the time the religious right started to attack gays and came out swinging negatively on sexual issues for the first time on a national media stage. They shoot themselves in the foot by demonizing, in so many ways. Education vs condemnation, if they just got a mere clue of the damage they do.
it is simply amazing to me that in this day and age, we are still dealing with social injustice and bigotry. We need to organize a gay political party and run the republicans out of Washington on a rail, and while we are at it tar and feather them as well!!
