In 1850 Congress legally abolished the slave trade in DC. In 1862, Lincolin legally freed all slaves in DC three years before the end of the civil war.
Now I know that slavery and gay marriage, while both civil rights issues, are not the same. However, the logic in the 19th century was that slavery is a disguisting behavior that we’ll tolerate in the backwater parts of the country to avoid a war, but we will not let it permeate the capitol.
The message in DC is the same: bigotry against gays may work elsewhere, but in the capitol we have a HIGHER standard. If the bigots studied history (they don’t) they’d be shaking in their boots.

LGBT – Includes bisexuals. So then equality in marriage has recently been expanded to homosexuals and then next will be expanded for bisexuals to marry a man and woman.
Correct?

No, you obviously don’t know what a bisexual is, Leslie.

Leslie,
I think you mean for bisexuals to be able to marry either a man or a woman. Bisexuals aren’t some strange kind of polygamous creature, you know.
Here’s a sign that we will win.
DC has legalized marriage equality.
