That is, if the gay voter wants to be treated with dignity in this society. Gingrich, who has a lesbian sister and would know better if he was focused on anyone but himself, will lose precisely because of this attitude. Voters simply don’t like people like him:

That’s right. If you want to be supported as a gay person by the president, you should vote to re-elect Barack Obama. Newt Gingrich doesn’t need YOUR stinkin’ vote. I could comment, but I’ll just let another Iowa voter respond for me:

Okay, once again I have to ask, how exactly will LGBT rights come through a conservative/Republican government? The apologists at GOProud were posting on line throughout 2011 that we should be switching our votes to Republican candidates because only they will ensure our rights; that Republican values and LGBT values are the same; that we should “learn to speak ‘Conservative.’” Where are these proud, gay Republicans now to defend Newt & Co.? I wonder how will Mr. Barron, Mr. LaSilva, and Mr. Drudge spin this. At least in 2004, the Log Cabin Republicans had the decency to withhold their endorsement of George W. Bush over the marriage issue. But this? After a comment like this, though, if any LGBT person still supports the GOP in 2012, they need to have their “Gay Cards” revoked.
I wonder if he’ll represent serial adulterers, I mean they’re just as nasty as gays according to his holy book of crap.
This is the kind of person we will have for President if anti-gay groups like Exodus get their way–a serial adulterer who doesn’t give a damn about his wives or sister. Family Values at its finest!
