… “We get them (homosexuals) in (at church) and you’ll find that many, many of them have been abused”. When asked if she felt such abuse led people to homosexuality, Court said: “Yes. You look at a lot of them, that’s happened.”
In a wide-ranging interview, Court also said: “The word of God is our TV guide to life.“…

So let me get this straight Margaret… Loving, devoted same-sex couples can’t be allowed to marry or have the same civil rights as you because Christianity is like watching television and good Christians are basically couch potatoes who always do what the TV tells them to. They never reach out to strangers, never work for social justice, never, ever take their eyes away from the glass teat and look outside the window every now and then, and when one of those ads comes on appealing for help for the poor, sick, downtrodden and outcast they reach for their handy TV guide and change the channel. That about sum it up?

yes…’many gay and lesbian people she KNEW OF’. Isn’t that typical. No valid source or research to back up her b******t. It’s the ol’ ‘a friend of my neighbor’s sister’s dog groomer said so’; so, of course, it must be true. I have known and met hundreds of lgbt people since coming out in 1977 and I don’t know of a single one who had been molested — myself included.

Did they put an artificial nose on her and claim she’d turned people into newts?
“Many many”? Oh really? At her church? My my, what a welcoming place to have “Many many” gay guys at her church in order to make such a statement. Especially from people who avoid gay folks like the plague they think we are. And what of all the girls who get abused and molested by men? Do they turn out to be Lesbians or gay men? And even stranger, and very much ignored counting-wise and I can only say this anecdotally — it seems 100% of the male abuse victims of clergy, priests and pastors of all stripes seem to be heterosexual men! And not a one is gay at all, ever. Indeed, from the testimony in the Penn State case, the victims of Sandowsky are hetero men. My my, so abuse leads to heterosexuality! What a fine thing, no doubt, but to be abused and be gay, oh the horrors.
Meanwhile, not one single gay man I ever met was abused or molested — ever — and I would say, fairly, that I know “many many” more gay men than this woman does.
So her counting is screwed up too, and not just her head. Oh well.
