I remember when the party of Lincoln used to produce a lot of progressive thinking people (I’m that old!). Its ironic that it has become the party of Jefferson Davis over the past 35 years. Kudos to Ms Walsh!

It’s different because she is looking at us a human beings JUST LIKE HERSELF. Most opponents just adopt the dogma and animosity by not seeing us as people like themselves, but perverts who are somehow less than themselves. They don’t want to see it as an equality issue, but as a “we don’t like you or your friends or your kind, so just go back into the darkness and be quiet. We will let you continue living, but not as equal human beings.” It’s based on that whole despicable “it’s a SIN b******t”. I’ve been told in the past that all sin is the same – a lie. NOT SO in their eyes. They may not want to say so, but homosexuality requires a special condemnation from them. It is not the same as Newt’s multiple adulteries or any of THEIR hetero sins. We are always on a much lower plane.
Saw this speech last night made me weepy eyed to. Sent her a thank you letter.
