“Ex-gay” Greg Quinlan, who needs you to know that, even when he wasn’t repressing his natural desires, he wasn’t a “flaming faggot,” is really, really, well, really flaming upset about what’s going on with marriage equality in these here United States. One might even say he’s queening out over it. One would think that as the president of a hate group he wouldn’t get so breathlessly hysterical, but then again his screed is posted on the blog of another breathlessly hysterical hate group leader. Let’s look at what he has to say:
On Monday, the New Jersey Senate voted 24-16 to corrupt the definition of marriage to include homosexual couples. Many called it a civil right. Homosexuality is NOT a civil right. It simply does not measure up to the criteria of a civil right.
It would be too much to ask for Greg to define the criteria of a “civil right,” wouldn’t it?
Thursday (today) the Democrat-controlled New Jersey Assembly (lower Chamber) voted. There was a slim chance that it would not get the required 41 votes for passage. [But the "same-sex marriage" bill passed the by a vote of 42-33; New Jersey governor Chris Christie has vowed to veto the bill.]
Please pray for us and that the elected officials nationwide will do the right thing. And that the Lord God will accomplish His will any way He sees fit. May HE have mercy on this state, and this nation, which seems to have forgotten Him.
What if the way God accomplishes His will runs counter to Greg’s self-loathing bigotry?
Please pray for the other states facing the lie of homosexual “marriage.” A bill has just been introduced in Illinois to legalize counterfeit “gay marriage.’ It is mischievously titled the “Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act.”
The bill is “mischievously” titled. One might even call it “fierce!”
Maryland is under a more imminent threat of homosexual “marriage” as well as a bill that would enable transsexual, cross-dressing men to use the restrooms of women and young girls. INSANITY.
Now this is one of those moments where the utter brainwashing of being a wingnut really shines through. As a “former gay activist,” even if he still really needs us to know he wasn’t a nelly queer, Greg Quinlan should know full well that the Religious Right fearmongering about “cross-dressing men” using the little girls’ room is absolutely disgusting and simply not based in fact. He theoretically should have an understanding, at least, of what the issue is about, even if he disagrees with it. But he’s become his own abuser and apparently needs to please his new wingnut gods, so he just lies. He’s a man of stellar character.
In Washington State, legislators passed homosexual “marriage” and imposed it upon their citizens, with the help of the state’s governor, Christine Gregoire, a new “gay marriage convert who ignored the dictates of her own Catholic religion to usher in this radical redefinition of an ancient institution. However, the people of Washington State are now working to get the issue on the ballot so that citizens decide whether to reverse the homosexual “marriage” law.
And if they get it on the ballot and the voters uphold marriage equality, expect a hysterical screed from Greg condemning the activist voters of Washington state.
New Hampshire is in a similar situation to Washington State (conterfeit “gay marriage” has been legal since 2009; see this Concord Monitor article on the GOP-led effort to repeal homosexual “marriage”). Minnesota voters will be able to vote on a statewide referendum this November to amend their state constitutions to preserve man-woman marriage, while North Carolina has a pro-traditional marriage amendmet vote in early May.
Iowans fired three of the judges that imposed homosexual “marriage” on them at the ballot box. They are now trying to reverse their dictatorial decision by putting it on the ballot.
Blah blah blah, more good news, and some gross news from Minnesota and North Carolina. On balance, though, we’re so winning.
California’s marriage battle will likely go to the U.S. Supreme Court, where Barack Obama appointed potential lesbian Elena Kagan and ultra liberal Sonia Sotomayer – who will both likely will decide against natural, God-ordained marriage.

The assault on natural marriage and rebellion against God is so vicious now that we need prayer for these individual states and our nation.
God save us from ourselves.
That last line…something about it…it just sums up what it means to be a wingnut. To be so frightened of one’s own inner desires, urges, hopes and dreams that they need authority figures [in this case God, but it can just as easily be the Pope or Tony Perkins or some wingnut pastor] to protect them from themselves.
Anyway, from Greg’s report, we can see that things are actually going pretty well on the marriage equality front. We already knew that this “culture war” was basically won, simply due to demographics, but it’s nice to see a bird’s eye view of how fast things are moving. Thanks, Greg!
Subject: In Re: PFOX and PFOX head Regina Griggs
Dear Superintendent Starr and other Montgomery County Schools Board Members and Administrators:
I wanted to call to your attention additional evidence that PFOX is operating from a place of bullying, bigotry-filled non-acceptance of gay human beings, and not from any neutral stance.
Please take what I am telling you under consideration in deciding whether to continue distributing PFOX’s anti-gay hate speech through your schools.
I wrote to PFOX’s cowardly bigot head Regina Griggs, cc’d in this e-mail, asking her to clarify certain specific points, towards an article to be published about PFOX. Instead of responding to my specific questions, Griggs sent me PFOX boilerplate junk copied off the PFOX website. Nothing in the junk Griggs sent me addressed the questions I had posed to her.
The questions I had posed Griggs involved this statement on the PFOX site: “During adolescence, sexual attractions are fluid and do not take on permanence until early adulthood. Rather than affirming teenagers as “gay” through self-labeling, educators should affirm them as people worthy of respect and encourage teens to wait until adulthood before making choices about their sexuality.”
Here are the questions I asked, which Griggs — cowardly gay-bashing bigot that she is — ignored:
1) Do you also believe that because during adolescence, “sexual attractions are fluid” that no teen should be affirmed as heterosexual?
2) If, by chance, you think it is acceptable for a teen to be “affirmed as heterosexual,” why do you have a negative judgment against homosexuality and, evidently, none against heterosexuality?
Angry anti-gay activist Quinlan is confused. No where in Scripture does Jesus condone homophobia. So to claim that God will impose the sin of homophobia on America is really over the top. What shrill anti-gay activist Quinlan should really do is pray that God helps him leave homophobia since his immortal soul depends on it.
Self loathing closet cases are so miserable with their life choices they want to make those of us who are out and happy as miserable as themselves. After being with my partner for over twenty years and living here in Ohio where we have NO rights I am growing weary of their antics. Stay behind that closet door for as long as you choose but stop trying to influence my happy “out” life.
Evan Hurst, why do you and your fellow “gay” Wayne Besen attack Greg Quinlan when you know that you have no chance of defeating him? Greg Quinlan is under the annointing power of the Holy Spirit! The Bible teaches that no attacks by the demonic realm can prevail against a Godly man under the annointing.
Where is your famous lawsuit, Evan Hurst? Wayne Besen has threatened this for months and said that it would be filed within hours. More demonic lies from the Father of Lies.
No lawsuit can prevail against Quinlan, so just forget it. You will only suffer a humiliating defeat at the hands of God. Your best course is to kneel in submission and humble yourself in contrition to Quinlan.

To Charles B. – I’ve always wondered: What if God’s will is that his homosexual creations be: 1. recognized as human beings and all that such recognition entails; 2. be recognized, in this country, as equal citizens according to the dictates not only of Him but US Law; 3. Realize that the Constitution of this land requires that, aside from one’s personal feelings about his fellow citizens, one must accord them the same treatment as they themselves receive; and 4. being that the law recognizes us as equals, your fellow gay citizens are to receive the SAME rights, privileges, benefits, treatment, and responsibilities as all others regardless of those individual human characteristics that some people like you and others dislike.
Being anti-gay does not entitle you to separate us from the legal aspects of equal treatment under the law. I personally know that when one’s head is over-filled with the idea that God somehow wants you to suppress us at all costs, it then becomes necessary to stop the realization that we are human beings and US citizens and therefore not lesser beings than you. That is difficult when you’ve decided that all that “love thy neighbor” stuff is meaningless when it comes to gay people. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF means much more than not throwing a brick through his window even though you don’t like him. It really does include according the unlikeable neighbor all the respect and dignity he, as a fellow person, deserves. Our Constitution codifies that concept for ALL Americans. To your absolute dismay and disgust, that includes the recognition of us a humans, fully capable of love and commitment in a marital relationship which the state truly has no compelling reason to deny. It is a civil recognition; you and your fellow damnable Christians don’t have to recognize anything you don’t want to, but the government and law is another matter entirely. We WILL be your equals in marriage as in all other facets of citizenship in this country and you and yours are fighting a losing game no matter what anyone tells you otherwise. So, whatever you do, don’t use your brain to think outside your godly delusions because that would allow the truth of “equal human beings” to really screw up your life, such as it is. Your God truly did not give you the authority to treat us as less than yourself. Consider that. AND remember something: the law grants recognition of a marital union to heterosexual persons. It is not a legal process for a majority of voters (in this case heterosexual voters) to deny such beneficial legal recognition to gay people. Our Constitution specifically prohibits a majority from voting away the same rights to a minority group. When the day comes that the courts decide the issue of marriage as a legal right, that whole shameful, illegal voting process against us will end. You have a choice my deluded, sanctimonious friend, use your brain to really think what it’s like being on the receiving end of your self-righteousness or keep your head completely up your God-given a*s.
I heard him today on radio station 89.3 something religious station, and he sounded quite adament of his position. I doubt he really is “ex-gay” sounds almost like “ex girlfriend/boyfriend” which is totally ridiculous…how can one change sexual orientation as changing clothes? I bet if someone were to delve into his personal internet packets there’s going to gay pornography. Please keep religion and state separate. We all know from the lessons in history that religion was used most ungodly to gain power and wealth..yet till this day it is still trying to worm its way into politics. the soul is sexless and its clothes of sexuality in the physical world only makes procreation much easier, afterall lower organisms possess both sex organs and can split to make copies; doing so for human is too daunting a task, therefore a separation of parts makes it much easier.Yesterday it was skin color black vs white, today it is sexuality gay vs. straight, so what comes tomorrow? chocolate vs vanillia? fatty vs fat-free? macdonald vs. wendy? our family value is in danger! quoth Greg, yet surely, wonderfully straight families wouldn’t have produced the curse of the 1940′s right? do us a favor and start talking about the more important things like job loss, education, and improvement of society. Charles, Charles, Charles. Nobody needs to defeat Quinlan. He has defeated himself, just like all other evangelicals. You lot really need to work on that habit of yours of always ending up hoist by your own petard. Your duplicity, your fearmongering, and your hate are becoming your downfall. Now, very few trust you. Many detest you, and rightfully so. The lashing out you do here is only one more testament to the victory of humanity, Charles. The ever-shifting stance of people on subjects you tried to force everyone to hate is one more testament to that.
God put us gay guys on earth as a test of “Love thy neighbor as thyself” and “treat others as you wish to be treated.” So far the NO GAYS! movement has failed miserably at this rather, um, straight forward test of the decency of humankind.
Meanwhile, the “ex-gay” (actually, “re-heteroizing,” or “newly-hetero” or even “ex-ex-hetero” since they’re all quite sure gayness is some fake, non-existent, fantasy appendage from somewhere they don’t know and can’t explain, but not real or natural,) people are selling a service — de-gaying gay guys — that no one is buying. And to persevere in selling something no one is buying is quite a bit of delusion and waste of money. Oh well, better luck with their next venture.
