There are times in life when you have to stand up and fight back against the bullies.
This is precisely what Truth Wins Out did today when it sued Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX), an atrocious organization dedicated to placing “ex-gay” fliers in public schools, where their poison is peddled to vulnerable LGBT youth. I decided to sue PFOX after its President, Greg Quinlan, appeared on a television show and falsely claimed that I tried to have him killed.

On October 7, 2011, Quinlan was interviewed on News-Plus with Mark Segraves (WDCW-TV). At the 10:38 mark of the show, Quinlan told the host:
“Truth Wins Out if you look further, including Wayne Besen. He’s asked for people, you know, somebody needs to run Greg over. He needs to be hit with a bus. Somebody should inject him with AIDS. Those are the things that Wayne Besen and Truth Wins Out says about me. That’s pretty hateful rhetoric.”

Of course, this incident never occurred and Quinlan’s bizarre version of events is a complete fabrication. These brazen lies and scurrilous allegations were clearly designed to damage my reputation and that of Truth Wins Out – a group that I’m proud to say is despised by the “ex-gay” industry.
Aren’t you sick and tired of anti-gay activists lying and simply “making things up” without having to suffer the consequences? Haven’t you reached your limit of watching these charlatans and reprobates smearing our loving families without having to pay a price for their lies?
Personally, I’ve had enough – and this is why Truth Wins Out is the first LGBT organization to FINALLY take these habitual liars to court.
It is absolutely critical that we hold PFOX accountable. If anti-gay activists get away with saying that LGBT advocates are trying to murder them today – what will stop them from alleging that we are terrorists tomorrow? Clearly, these homophobes have no decency and wrongly believe that they can lie with impunity.
This time, let’s not let PFOX and Greg Quinlan off the hook.

I made an online donation just prior to me posting this to help support this lawsuit because I really believe that it was the right action to take in this case and could be very effective in fighting the lies of PFOX.

You cannot win your lawsuit because Quinlan is under the annointing power of the Holy Spirit. He cannot be defeated by anything in the demonic realm. You will be thwarted and humiliated before the whole world.

The man said what he said. It was heinous. He will lose, and Wayne will win.

Unless Quinlan is somehow unique, I assume that everyone on the anti-gay side is “under the anointing power of the Holy Spirit,” and “cannot be defeated by anything in the demonic realm,” and that the gays and their supporters “will be thwarted and humiliated before the whole world.”
If that is true, why is the gay side winning social/legal equality? I’ve been living as a gay person since the summer of Stonewall in 1969, so trust me on this: We are winning, and you are losing. Actually, the ultimate outcome is certain, with the only question being the timing of the final cleanup. And then people like you will be considered as respectable as the KKK.
If God is thwarting and humiliating certain people before the whole world, why are His most fervent followers in the Bible Belt pelted with tornadoes every year? Maybe God thinks His most fervent followers are arrogant sanctimonious busybodies, just as I do.
PFOX and Quinlan are a mere blip in the huge number of liars out there fabricating stories about gay folks. Indeed, you puzzle here that what happens if he gets away with calling us murderers, will they next call us terrorists? Well, I do recall that Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council has already called us domestic terrorists. And he’s a habitual liar about gay folks, too. There are many people who have made far more outrageous lies about us gay folks than Quinlan. While I applaud this effort, frankly, I would like to see every NO GAYS! group in the nation hauled into court for slander and libel.
And too, just to have fun with these folks, if they claim we are “infertile” and “sick” and “psychologically stunted,” among other American With Disabilities Act protected disabling conditions, then well, for the fun of it, admit that this is true, and demand then the mollycoddling, the special treatment and the disability payments that are required by the law.
These folks are so easily hoisted by their own petards, and yet, we gays have yet to go after them on this. Ratchet it up, go after them. Have fun.
It is a great day now that Mr. Quinlan will be called to answer for his false claim.

Excuse me! About the filing of this foolish lawsuit – sometimes God allows his enemies to attack. He allowed Pharoah and his chariots to pursue the Israelites. But he smashed them in the end! Exodus 14:28 Just as this lawsuit will surely be smashed.
Gene, there is no possibility of settlement by Quinlan. It would be unbiblical for a Christian engaged in spiritual warfare to settle for anything less than victory.
However, it is not too late for Besen and TWO to withdraw the suit, humble themselves before God’s agent and apologize.
