Does everybody know about the Mormon ritual where they submit names of the deceased to be baptized posthumously into the faith? Does everybody know how they have a bad habit of doing this to Holocaust victims, which Jewish people find, sort of, you know, offensive? Every time they’re caught doing it, they issue an apology and an empty promise never to do it again, but it looks like they’ve been caught baptizing Anne Frank. Again. Sick:
Anne Frank, the Jewish girl whose diary and death in a Nazi concentration camp made her a symbol of the Holocaust, was allegedly baptized posthumously Saturday by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, according to whistleblower Helen Radkey, a former member of the church.
The ritual was conducted in a Mormon temple in the Dominican Republic, according to Radkey, a Salt Lake City researcher who investigates such incidents, which violate a 2010 pact between the Mormon Church and Jewish leaders.
Radkey said she discovered that Annelies Marie “Anne” Frank, who died at Bergen Belsen death camp in 1945 at age 15, was baptized by proxy on Saturday. Mormons have submitted versions of her name at least a dozen times for proxy rites and carried out the ritual at least nine times from 1989 to 1999, according to Radkey. But Radkey says this is the first time in more than a decade that Frank’s name has been discovered in a database that can be used both for genealogy and also to submit a deceased person’s name to be considered for proxy baptism — a separate process, according to a spokesman for the church. The database is only open to Mormons.
It’s sad when religious ideology trumps humanity, but we’re used to that around these parts, aren’t we?
This is why it’s more than appropriate that, thanks to the internet, there is now a website where users can submit the names of deceased Mormons and convert them posthumously into homosexuals.
Sadly, many Mormons throughout history have died without having known the joys of homosexuality. With your help, these poor souls can be saved.
Simply enter the name of your favorite dead Mormon* in the form below and click Convert! Presto, they’re gay for eternity. There is no undo.
Goose, gander, etc.

So I guess it didn’t stick the first eight times?
These people are just sick. Like any self-respecting Jew would want to be a Moron–er, Mormon. I liken this to spiritual rape since the victim cannot consent. Luckily, it’s not valid when someone is dead.
I actually had a Mormon tell me that their baptism is an invitation to join the Mormon religion. I have been a Christian and I know very well that baptism is an initiation, not an “invitation”. Yeehs, the Mormons just do not quit with their b******t.
They’re such loathsome predators. It makes me sick the way they won’t even respect people when they’re dead.
As such I think I’ll return the favor and make a few of them posthumously gay. Then I’ll posthumously gay-marry them to each other for even more kicks.
Someone needs to make a parody of one of those “I’m a Mormon” videos, starring an Anne Frank lookalike. Or, is it too soon?
Can anyone understand why I don’t want to see a Mormon Bishop elected President next fall?
Bill Maher pointed out the other night that they have done the same for Mitt Romney’s dead Atheist (one might even go so far as to say Anti-theist) father-in-law.
Bill then kindly UN-baptised this fellow, whist wearing a velvet wizards hat and using a Harry Potter wand, making the point that if religio’s get to carry out crazy rituals for dead people, then why can’t we Atheists?
Good point, I thought.
I sure do Paul…these loathsome bigoted heretics are disgusting.
blunt perhaps, but accurate
It seems to me that the existence of the Mormon (LDS)church, which is a relatively modern creation, should be a vivid teaching opportunity that illustrates one of the prime elements in how religions are created – fraud. The Mormon church is built on the foundation of Joseph Smith’s preposterous tale of the gold plates. If this new religion could be started in 1823 in the USA, imagine all the forces in play thousands of years ago where the cleverest people could easily exploit the ignorance and superstition that ruled the day.
It’s astonishing that, even now in 2012, there seems to be no limit to how gullible humans can be.
Richard you should read mark twain’s piece on Christian science, founded decades after the Mormons. Also preposterous. Buts twain was just hilarious as he took them apart.
Ben, thanks for that. I will look it up. I hadn’t realized when C.S. was founded. Somehow, C.S. doesn’t loom as large on my radar as the Mormons. Maybe that’s because the Mormons are planning to build a temple on a prime piece of real estate in our city within easy walking distance from our house.
Mormon. The second m is silent
Touché!
It’s a shame people don’t bother to study what the Mormon baptisms are about. And isn’t it a tad coincidental that this is all coming out now…when Mitt is running for President? Somebody a little bit scared of him, I think! Educate yourselves before you call millions of people a cult. Mormons are good, decent people. Like every faith, they have screw-ups, but it doesn’t justify – dare I say it? Intolerance.
Maggie Dillard, I was raised Mormon and I was baptized for the dead. Knowing what these baptisms are about won’t change anyone’s mind. And what Mormons did to gay people with Prop 8 is not good or decent–it’s intolerant. You’re a hypocrite.
Somehow, I’m not surprised by this. I raised an eyebrow at the “again” part, but… even that isn’t too terribly surprising.
Is it wrong of me to want this cult (among others of similar size) to just fizzle out and go away, already?
