The GOP’s gender gap is growing by the second — and blowhard Rush Limbaugh exacerbated the problem by attacking a Georgetown law student, Sandra Fluke, by calling her a “slut” and a “prostitute” for advocating that employers cover contraception in their health plans. According to Limbaugh:
“So Miss Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here’s the deal,” he said. “If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.”
“A Georgetown coed told Nancy Pelosi’s hearing that the women in her law school program are having so much sex they’re going broke, so you and I should have to pay for their birth control. So what would you call that? I called it what it is,” he said. “So, I’m offering a compromise today: I will buy all of the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as they want.”
Is it me, or is there something bizarre about a glutton who got hooked on pill-form smack calling for self control? Since Limbaugh is a fiscal conservative, I’d love to know if any of my tax dollars went to support his smack habit or rehab efforts — and if they have I want my money back. I’m sure he’d agree that Big Government should not be footing the bill for his leisurely activities.
Limbaugh’s disgraceful behavior towards women should not come as a surprise. When Herman Cain was embattled in multiple sex scandals last year, the radio host was a primary defender. If the Republican Party continues down this road to ruin, we may see the first landslide presidential election in decades, as mothers abandon a party that denigrates their daughters.

I would like to know who the “we” Mr. Limbaugh is referring to when he says “If we have to pay….?” From what I understand, it is private insurance companies and private employers who have to cover this as part of the salaries and benefits of private employees. How does the government and taxpayers come into this? I swear, pundits like him ruin the political conversation in this country. He’s arguments show that he is nothing but an over-grown teenager.

Last night Rachel Maddow made a good point. Thrush Limpwanker said that ‘these girls are having so much sex that they can’t afford their own birth control pills’; implying that they need a pill for each sexual encounter. As Rachel pointed out to this moron, you take 1 pill a day whether you have sex once or a thousand times or not for weeks at a time. The quantity and cost is still the same. And as many have already pointed out, many women use these for other medical conditions and not for contraception.
