What do you expect? The Church is a collection of old relics glued to their dogma. I remember when we had to confess if we ate meat on Friday. As a kid, I couldn’t understand why THAT was such an offense in God’s eyes. Well, it’s like so much of what stirs up the bigots in the church, it’s in the rules. God said so. My a*s! However, one can take consolation from the fact that being in any faith organization is an option in life. We don’t have to subscribe. AND, I love throwing stones at these religious dupes.

Just a clarification on Al Fischer…originally he was to be fired on the day of his wedding. However, after his finance posted the situation on his FaceBook page in mid-February, Al was dismissed immediately.
He has since also been fired from his position as part-time music director at a local parish. The reason given was the “negative publicity” being generated in regards to his dismissal from St. Ann’s School.
